Of course, this Audio Service device has noise suppression, as it has become standard. Noise suppression means that uniform and rather monotonous noises (e.g., air conditioning, vacuum cleaner...) are dampened. We are not necessarily dealing with a high-performance variant here, but in most hearing situations, the noise suppression should be sufficient.
In our tests, we also discovered impulse sound control. Short, popping sounds are dampened by this. It works reasonably well here, but we are not in the top class. Wind is also a topic that can limit hearing comfort outdoors. However, the IF LI G8 12 CIC handles this confidently and activates wind noise suppression in such situations. By the way, this is adjustable in steps. The IF LI G8 12 CIC is one of the good hearing aids, at least regarding the number of frequency channels. With 18 channels, it is well-equipped for precise adaptation to personal sound preferences. The special design of the IF LI G8 12 CIC proves to be advantageous when it comes to spatial hearing. The microphones are positioned deep in the ear canal, and this is exactly where sound reaches normal-hearing individuals. Spatial hearing does not need to be artificially recreated but occurs naturally.
Other hearing aids already use artificial intelligence in their signal processing, but this strategy is not yet implemented in the IF LI G8 12 CIC.

Operation & connectivity
The operating options for hearing aids today are as simple or as complex as one wishes. The basic functions are, of course, fully automatic. We wanted to know how a user can further access the IF LI G8 12 CIC. We searched in vain for a button as a quick access option. It has probably fallen victim to the small form factor. This is manageable, as most settings are taken care of automatically by the hearing aid anyway. A discreet way to change the hearing aid is through the remote control. It fits in any pocket. If the person you're talking to speaks too softly again, just one or two clicks are enough to adjust the volume. Additional hearing programs for listening to music or driving can also be activated with the remote control.
For some time now, there has been a trend to adjust hearing aids louder or quieter via voice commands. The idea is really good, but Audio Service has not yet implemented this feature in this device. Don't worry; while this feature would be nice, it is not essential. There is no control of the hearing aids with a simple tap in this Audio Service model, as certain sensors would have been needed in the housing for that.
The IF LI G8 12 CIC can be operated with an app. In our opinion, it is somewhat rudimentary, but you will definitely benefit from the convenient handling. If you were looking forward to wireless streaming, we are sorry to disappoint you, as a wireless module has unfortunately not been integrated here.

With the IF LI G8 12 CIC, we experienced an effective situational automatic that supports our hearing well. This already ensures that we do not have to constantly adjust the hearing aid. We are also very pleased with the integrated acclimatization manager. It gradually increases the hearing aid's volume in tiny steps until our target amplification is eventually reached. We can relax and gradually get used to the new auditory impressions.
Easy handling in everyday life also definitely includes the power supply. The IF LI G8 12 CIC has a built-in battery and can be recharged again and again. Since one charge definitely lasts for the entire day, we don't have to worry about the battery dying in the middle of a conversation.
The data sheet certifies the Audio Service device with an IP protection class 68 certification. This makes it one of the most robust hearing aids on the market. Dust doesn't stand a chance, and water doesn't penetrate the casing as long as it's not submerged deeper than 1.5 m. However, be cautious. Shampoo, for example, changes the surface tension of water. You should also avoid saltwater. In everyday life, however, you can behave completely carefree.

Das legt bei Bedarf ein sanftes Rauschen auf die Ohren, um vom nervigen Tinnitus ein wenig abzulenken. Die Geräusche können nach dem persönlichen Hörgeschmack gestaltet werden.
Eine Möglichkeit zur Ferneinstellung gibt es leider nicht. Wer also Optimierungsbedarf hat und seine Hörgeräteinstellung verändern lassen will, kommt um einen Besuch beim Akustik-Profi nicht umhin.
Manche Hörgeräte können bestimmte Gesundheitsdaten tracken. Allerdings braucht es dazu spezielle Sensoren im Hörgerät, die wir beim IF LI G8 12 CIC leider nicht haben.
