Another option for controlling the hearing aids is tap control. You simply tap your ear with your fingers, which in turn triggers a specific function. But this option is not available in this Beltone device.
Hearing aid apps are becoming increasingly popular. With the Serene 4 63-DRW, we are lucky: there is a suitable app. This app completely impressed us. Not only are there numerous ways to customize the hearing aids to your own hearing preferences, but the app also offers a wealth of lifestyle features. The Serene 4 comes with a 2.4 GHz antenna and allows us to enjoy stereo phone calls. This even gives us an advantage over people with normal hearing. We think that's great and gladly give points.

Here are our findings: Unfortunately, the Serene 4 63-DRW does not offer automatic situation recognition, and we need to make manual adjustments to hear well in different acoustic situations. The adjustment to the new hearing experience is supported by this device with a fully automatic acclimatization manager. It adjusts the amplification in barely noticeable steps until my hearing loss is completely compensated. I don't have to do anything else but wear my hearing aids regularly.
The Serene 4 63-DRW gets its power from small disposable batteries that need to be replaced every few days. While this is not rocket science, it should be considered, especially for those with motor issues. A rechargeable battery would be much easier to handle.
With IP 68 certification, the hearing aid can withstand various adverse influences. Dust cannot penetrate, it can withstand prolonged submersion in water, and it is also protected against touch.
