Those who enjoy being outdoors will appreciate the wind noise suppression. While it may not dampen as much, it is definitely useful. Spatial hearing is reliably supported by multifunctional microphones and is certainly practical. One of the most important evaluation criteria in a hearing aid is the number of frequency bands, as they determine the fine-tuning options. The Alpha 7 MNB T R has the best prerequisites with 20 bands to achieve precise sound results. Even in the following years, one can continue to make differentiated adjustments here.

We wanted to know how users can further access the Alpha 7 MNB T R. A very quick way to adjust the volume is the small button on the device. It is easy to feel, and you can increase or decrease the volume in several stages. Additional programs for specific listening situations can also be activated with it. Those who prefer not to use the button can simply have it deactivated. For those who don’t like to touch their ear to adjust the volume, the optional remote control will be appreciated. This allows for comfortable and discreet adjustments to the hearing aid.
Voice commands are a relatively new way of operating hearing aids. However, this model does not yet have this feature. That's not a big deal - the main thing is that one can hear well. Some hearing aids can also be controlled with a quick tap of the finger, without needing to press a button. However, this feature has not yet been implemented here.
The app is definitely very useful. Anyone with a smartphone should download it. Even though the app is not one of our favorites, it is a useful addition to the Alpha 7 MNB T R. The Alpha 7 comes with a 2.4 GHz antenna and allows for bilateral phone calls. This even gives us an advantage over normal hearing individuals. We think that's great and are happy to give points.

Very important in terms of simplicity is the support during the acclimatization phase. Especially after having heard poorly for years, it can sometimes be difficult to perceive everything at a natural volume. Our test device includes an acclimatization manager that helps us with very slight volume adjustments throughout the habituation phase. After several weeks or months, we then reach the calculated amplification level.
The Alpha 7 MNB T R is rechargeable and no longer requires batteries. This is not only environmentally friendly, but also very convenient to handle and frees me from the burden of constantly thinking about battery replacements.
The hearing aid has been classified in protection class IP68. This guarantees comprehensive protection against dust ingress. Water cannot easily harm the hearing aid either. Thus, it is well-equipped for outdoor activities where it can get wet and dirty. However, do not necessarily go bathing or swimming with the hearing aids. Bath additives or the salt content in seawater can alter the composition and ultimately cause damage.

Finally, let's take a brief look at whether there are any extras: Bernafon has integrated a noise generator that plays soothing sounds for those suffering from tinnitus. This can distract from the tinnitus and provide a bit more relaxation.
We find the remote maintenance service quite exciting, which can be utilized. If someone doesn't have the opportunity to visit the audiologist, they can instead contact them via the app, briefly describe their hearing problem, and receive a data package with a new hearing aid configuration. If it sounds good, they can upload it to their hearing aids.
Some hearing aids can track certain health data. However, this requires special sensors in the hearing aid, which we unfortunately do not have in the Alpha 7 MNB T R. We really liked the additional features included in the Alpha 7 MNB T R. Various assistants support your daily life beyond hearing and can be configured in the app. Such hearing aids are hard to part with. By the way: These lifestyle features are often still being developed, so they may change with updates.
