Not only does it offer numerous ways to adjust the hearing aids to one's personal hearing preferences, but the app also includes a wealth of lifestyle features. Issues with phone calls on a smartphone are a thing of the past with this device. Phone calls, music, and other sounds are transmitted completely wirelessly to the hearing aids. Headphones become unnecessary. We tested the wireless transmission during longer phone calls as well as for listening to music while exercising. Everything worked smoothly and easily. Only a compatible smartphone with 2.4 GHz wireless technology is needed.

Therefore, we have to limit ourselves to the manual adjustment options. We give a big plus point for the automatic acclimatization assistant. It gradually increases the start volume in very small steps until my hearing goal is reached. This greatly facilitates the adjustment to the new sound.
Easy handling in everyday life definitely includes the power supply. The Nexia 4 77 DWC has a built-in battery and is rechargeable. Since a charge lasts all day, we don’t have to worry about the battery dying in the middle of a conversation.
The data sheet certifies the ReSound device with an IP protection class of 68. This makes it one of the most durable hearing aids on the market. Dust has no chance, and water cannot penetrate the housing as long as it does not submerge deeper than 1.5 m. However, please be careful. Shampoo, for example, changes the surface tension of water. You should also avoid saltwater. In everyday life, however, you can behave completely untroubled.

There are quite a few people who are occasionally or frequently troubled by a buzzing or ringing in their ears. The tinnitus program in the Nexia 4 77 DWC is actually nothing more than a sound generator. It aims to produce broad-band sounds or noises that gently and pleasantly stimulate all hearing areas. The tinnitus gets overshadowed and is no longer perceived as bothersome.
ReSound is keeping up with the times and offers a future-oriented feature with the remote adjustment service. Working individuals with little time can contact their audiologist online and have their hearing aids reprogrammed. Hearing aid users who have a longer journey to the specialist shop also benefit from this special service.
If ReSound had integrated motion sensors into this hearing aid, individual health tracking could even take place. However, this is not the case here. These points are points lost in the ranking for the Nexia 4 77 DWC. The functionality of the Nexia 4 77 DWC is limited to normal hearing, which is perfectly fine. Additional functions like fall alarms or Siri connections do have a decent added value, but they are not relevant for good hearing balance.
