First, we looked at the comfort features. The better these are, the easier and more pleasant the listening experience becomes. It can be configured as a volume control or program selection button, and it can also be disabled if desired. A remote control is available for the AQ jam XC Pro 9 R. Especially for those who have had hearing difficulties for a long time and are wearing a hearing aid for the first time, this is an enormous relief. The volume doesn't have to be immediately set to maximum. One can start at a lower level, and gradually and almost imperceptibly, the amplification approaches the desired level.
A charger is included with the AQ jam XC Pro 9 R, as it has built-in batteries. This is contemporary, user-friendly, and what we expect from a modern hearing aid.
We had an effortless everyday experience in our test due to the IP-68 certification. This indicates that the hearing aid is particularly well protected against dust and water. We walked through the rain and then took out the hearing aids with wet hands – all without any issues. However, the water resistance really only applies to fresh, natural water and not to soapy bathwater or saltwater.
