When it comes to adapting to changing hearing situations, we have to limit ourselves to the manual options with the Sound FS 1 R 312. An automatic situation recognition would definitely have made life easier, but it is not available here. Very important in terms of simplicity for us is the support during the acclimatization process. Especially after having heard poorly for years, it can sometimes be difficult to perceive everything at a natural volume. In our test device, there is an acclimatization manager that helps us through the adjustment phase with very small volume adjustments. After a few weeks or months, we have then reached the calculated amplification level.

The Sound FS 1 R 312 gets its power from small disposable batteries that need to be replaced every few days. While this is not rocket science, it should be considered, especially for those with motor issues. A rechargeable battery would be much simpler to handle.

We had a carefree daily life in our test due to the IP-68 certification. This means that the hearing aid is particularly well protected against dust and water. We marched through the rain and then took out the hearing aids with wet hands - no problem at all. However, the water resistance really only applies to fresh, natural water and not to foamy bath water or salt water.

It's nothing more than a distraction, and it works surprisingly well. The tinnitus fades into the general noise and no longer bothers you. It's a simple but effective tool that earns extra points from us.

We find the remote maintenance service exciting, which can be utilized. If you don't have the opportunity to go to the hearing care professional, you can contact them instead via the app, briefly describe your hearing problem, and then receive a data package with a new hearing aid configuration. If it sounds good, you upload it to your hearing aids.
