Therefore, let’s take a look at the comfort features: We were impressed by the excellent sound management of the Intent 1 mini Ex R. And what exactly happens next is something you decide together with your hearing care professional. For example, you can activate voice control or switch to a special program.
The best way to set the Intent 1 mini Ex R is with the corresponding app. The first apps in the past only had a single screen, but this one offers far more than just the usual volume control function. Here we clearly have points from us. You no longer need headphones, as it has a wireless option and can transmit sounds directly from the smartphone to your ears – provided the smartphone is equipped with 2.4 GHz LE technology.

This is what we've found: It would be best if the hearing aid operates largely independently. The performance of the Intent 1 mini Ex R is exceptionally good in this regard. It has a multitude of typical listening situations stored, which the device recognizes independently and always generates the appropriate setting. We are very pleased with the integrated acclimatization manager. It gradually increases the volume of the hearing aid in tiny steps until our target amplification is eventually reached. We can relax and gradually get used to the new listening impressions.
A very useful development in recent years is, in our opinion, the integrated battery. We are accustomed to recharging electronic devices in our daily lives. And the Intent 1 mini Ex R is rechargeable, so we can do away with the bothersome battery changes.
The data sheet certifies the Oticon device with an IP protection class of 68. This makes it one of the most resilient hearing aids on the market. Dust doesn't stand a chance, and water cannot penetrate the casing as long as it doesn't submerge deeper than 1.5 m. However, be cautious. Shampoo, for example, alters the surface tension of water. You should also avoid saltwater. In everyday life, though, you can behave completely carefree.

Jetzt haben wir die wichtigsten Funktionen des Hörgerätes angeschaut. Aber bevor wir zum Ende kommen, wollen wir wissen, ob es noch ein paar zusätzliche Funktionen gibt: Richtig gut gefallen hat uns das optionale Tinnitusprogramm. Es gibt doch relativ viele Menschen, die gelegentlich oder häufig von einem Pfeifen oder Rauschen im Ohr geplagt sind. Das Tinnitusprogramm im Intent 1 mini Ex R ist eigentlich nichts weiter als ein Klanggenerator. Es geht darum, breitbandige Geräusche oder Klänge zu erzeugen, die sanft und angenehm alle Hörbereiche stimulieren. Der Tinnitus geht darin unter und wird nicht mehr als störend wahrgenommen.
Ein cleveres Tool ist der integrierte Fernwartungsservice. Fast jeder hat ein Smartphone, und Zeit ist ein knappes Gut. Deshalb ist so ein Fernwartungsservice absolut angemessen. Wer eine neue Programmierung seiner Hörgeräte benötigt, kann ganz einfach über die App Kontakt zum Akustiker aufnehmen und seine Hörwünsche beschreiben. Über einen Cloud-Service kann der Profi dann eine individuelle Einstellung als Datenpaket in die App schicken. Von dort wird sie aufs Hörgerät geladen und kann sofort ausprobiert werden. Das verdient auf jeden Fall Extrapunkte in unserem Test.
Hätte Oticon Bewegungssensoren in dieses Hörgerät integriert, dann könnte sogar ein individuelles Gesundheits-Tracking erfolgen. Das ist hier aber nicht der Fall. Diese Punkte gehen dem Intent 1 mini Ex R in der Wertung verloren. Richtig gut gefallen haben uns die Zusatzfunktionen, die im Intent 1 mini Ex R stecken. Verschiedene Assistenten unterstützen Ihren Alltag jenseits des Hörens und lassen sich in der App konfigurieren. Solche Hörgeräte will man nicht mehr hergeben. Übrigens: An diesen Lifestyle-Funktionen wird oft noch gearbeitet, es kann also sein, dass die sich je nach Update auch mal ändern.

Unser Fazit für dieses Hörgerät fällt sehr positiv aus: Hier bekommen wir ein kleines Technikwunder, das uns auf ganzer Linie beeindruckt hat. Sowohl der Hörkomfort als auch die Ausstattung für den täglichen Gebrauch lassen keine Wünsche offen. Sehr gerne vergeben wir die Gesamtnote 1,07 und sind uns sicher, dass man mit diesem Gerät ein tolles Hörerlebnis bekommt.
