For those who want to quickly and easily adjust the volume, there is a button on the device. You can also select additional programs for special hearing situations through this. We do like the small remote controls, and we found one for this model. This allows for discreet adjustments to the volume or sound.
We are always pleased when a hearing aid surprises us with a great additional feature. For example, we would have liked to see voice control at this point. But currently, the Real 2 mini BTE R does not have that. If there are sensors in the hearing aid, a tap control could be conceivable, which would trigger a specific function by tapping the ear with your fingers. However, this option is not available in the Real 2 mini BTE R.
Smartphone apps are increasingly being offered for better usability of hearing aids. In our assessment, the app from Oticon is among the better ones because it offers a good set of adjustment options. One of the best features in the hearing aid is the direct streaming function. This turns the hearing aid into a TrueWireless headphone, receiving phone calls and other sounds directly in the ear. A compatible smartphone with 2.4 GHz technology is required. The biggest advantage is that you hear phone calls not just in one ear, but in both. Additionally, the sound can be tailored to personal needs.

The volume does not need to be turned up to maximum immediately. One can start at a lower level and gradually, almost imperceptibly, the amplification approaches the target.
The Real 2 mini BTE R is rechargeable and no longer requires hearing aid batteries. This is environmentally friendly, as there are no old batteries to dispose of. At the same time, it is extremely convenient, as there is no need to carry spare batteries. The hearing aids simply go into the charging station at night and are ready to use the next morning.
With IP 68 certification, the hearing aid can withstand various adverse influences. Dust cannot penetrate, it can withstand longer submersion in water, and it is also protected against contact.

They can then adjust the settings accordingly and upload them to the hearing aids via the app. This is a great service for people with limited time or long commutes.
Tracking health data is a real added value in modern hearing aids. However, this Oticon model lacks the necessary sensors for this service. You should take a closer look at the app for this Oticon device. There are indeed a few extras included that significantly expand the functionality of these hearing aids. We really think these additional features are great!
