For us, it is one of the most convenient ways to increase or decrease the volume or switch to another hearing program. No one notices it; reaching for the ear is not necessary.
Some hearing aids can already be controlled by voice, but this one from ReSound unfortunately cannot yet. It would be convenient when fingers are not as flexible or if one simply likes smart gadgets. Now it gets really modern: the hearing aid from ReSound can be easily switched using tap control. Sensors in the housing detect touch when you briefly tap your ear with your fingers. And what exactly happens afterwards, you decide together with your hearing care professional. You can, for example, activate voice control or switch to a special program.
We always have our smartphone with us, and with the Nexia 9 60S-DRWC, it is worthwhile because it can be customized via an app. The app is also really fun and has a range of features that one would not expect in a hearing aid app. If you enjoy playing, this is the right place for you. Seine Aufgabe ist, im Hintergrund die Lautstärke des Hörgerätes in winzig kleinen Schritten anzuheben, bis die Ziellautstärke erreicht ist. So können Sie sich entspannt und ganz allmählich an die neuen Höreindrücke gewöhnen. Zur einfachen Handhabung im Alltag gehört auf jeden Fall auch die Energieversorgung. Das Nexia 9 60S-DRWC hat einen integrierten Akku und ist immer wieder aufladbar. Da eine Ladung auf jeden Fall für den ganzen Tag reicht, müssen wir keine Sorge haben, dass mitten Im Gespräch der Akku leer wird.
Mit IP 68-Zertifizierung kann das Hörgerät allerhand widrigen Einflüssen widerstehen. Staub kann nicht eindringen, auch einem längeren Untertauchen in Wasser hält es stand, und gegen Berührungen ist es ebenfalls geschützt.

Am Ende unseres Testberichtes gibt es noch ein bisschen Platz für die Extra-Features: Hier ist uns die Tinnitus-Option aufgefallen. Wer mag, kann sich ein spezielles Tinnitus-Programm einrichten lassen. Das legt bei Bedarf ein sanftes Rauschen auf die Ohren, um vom nervigen Tinnitus ein wenig abzulenken. Die Geräusche können nach dem persönlichen Hörgeschmack gestaltet werden.
Die Möglichkeit zur Ferneinstellung finden wir richtig gut. Die ist immer dann sehr hilfreich, wenn man nur eine Kleinigkeit an der Hörgerät-Einstellung verändert haben möchte, aber nicht extra zum Hörakustiker fahren will. Den Kontakt nimmt man stattdessen über die App auf, und der Hörprofi schickt ein angepasstes Datenpaket auf dem gleichen Weg zurück.
Hätte ReSound Bewegungssensoren in dieses Hörgerät integriert, dann könnte sogar ein individuelles Gesundheits-Tracking erfolgen. Das ist hier aber nicht der Fall. Diese Punkte gehen dem Nexia 9 60S-DRWC in der Wertung verloren. Bei anderen Hörgeräten gibt es schon ein paar erweiterte Optionen wie einen Sturzalarm oder Erinnerungsfunktionen. Hier finden wir das nicht, und das ist auch gar nicht so dramatisch, denn die normalen Hörfunktionen sind immer noch am wichtigsten.
