First, we looked at the comfort features. The better these are, the easier and more pleasant the hearing experience becomes. This hearing aid allows for solid comfort programming by the audiologist. The traditional noise suppression ensures that uniform, insignificant sounds are slightly reduced. The B Moxi 1 312 has simple noise reduction integrated by the manufacturer, but it cannot be adjusted further. Wind noise is always an issue when the hearing aid microphones are somewhat exposed. However, with the B Moxi 1 312, this is not a problem at all, as it has intelligent and effective wind noise suppression. This not only reduces audible turbulence but also preserves speech understanding.
Once you've experienced impulse sound suppression in a hearing aid, you won't want to give it up. The B Moxi 1 312 has this feature and can effortlessly handle all short and intense sound events. This includes, for example, dishes clattering in the kitchen or footfall sounds on a hard floor. We cannot generate true 3D spatial sound with the current test device. Especially outdoors, one should often look around to locate individual sound sources. However, focusing on a particular speaker works quite well with the integrated directional microphones. A few more frequency channels would be desirable, but working with the existing 12 channels is already quite effective.
The signal processing of the B Moxi 1 312 also utilizes artificial intelligence. This allows for a much more realistic analysis of the listening environment, and especially clarity in noisy surroundings is significantly improved.

Operation & connectivity
The majority of functions are activated automatically by this Unitron model. However, it is sometimes very useful to have the option to expand its functionality a bit further. In our test, we found out what options we have here. First, we discovered a button directly on the hearing aid. This is very practical, as it is the easiest and quickest way to make adjustments. The volume can be adjusted through it, and various hearing programs can also be activated. If you prefer not to make adjustments directly at the ear, the button can, of course, be disabled. A discreet way to change the hearing aid is with the remote control. It fits in any pocket. When the person you are talking to speaks too quietly, one or two clicks are enough to adjust the volume. Additional hearing programs for listening to music or driving can also be activated with the remote control.
The modern form of control via voice command is not yet found in the B Moxi 1 312. There is no control of the hearing aids with a simple tap, as this Unitron model would have required specific sensors in the case for that.
The app is definitely very useful. Anyone with a smartphone should download it. Even though the app is not one of our favorites, it is a helpful addition to the B Moxi 1 312. A streaming option would not be bad for our digital everyday life. The present device fulfills our wish and includes a 2.4 GHz radio module. With this, you can send phone calls and sounds directly from your smartphone to the hearing aids.

We had a carefree everyday life in our test due to the IP-68 certification. This indicates that the hearing aid is particularly well protected against dust and water.
