First, we evaluate the hearing comfort features. What types of noises does the hearing aid recognize? How does it handle them? Is the hearing aid suitable for a varied daily life? Here with this test device, a solid comfort programming by the audiologist is possible. As in all hearing aids, we also find the typical noise suppression here. It is intended to reduce monotonous, noisy background sounds to the point where they no longer dominate. With the B Moxi 3 312, we have to settle for a minimal level of noise suppression.

There is a good spatial impression, but accurately determining directions or estimating distances through hearing is not so easy.

Apps and other control options significantly expand their functionality, which is why we are also looking at this important topic with the B Moxi 3 312 from Unitron. The simplest control option is always a button directly on the hearing aid. This model has one as well. It can be programmed according to your wishes. Do you want manual volume control? No problem, the button allows for incremental volume adjustments. Or do you need different special programs for your professional life or hobbies? These can also be activated via the button. If you prefer to keep everything in automatic mode, you can simply ignore the button or even have it disabled. A very convenient option is the small remote control, which is available as an option. For us, it is one of the easiest ways to adjust the hearing aid's volume or switch to another hearing program. Nobody notices, there's no need to touch your ear.
Voice commands are a fairly new way to operate hearing aids. However, this model does not have this option yet. That's not a major issue - the main thing is that you can hear well. There is no control of the hearing aids with a simple tap of a finger in this Unitron model, as it would require specific sensors in the housing.
The app is definitely very useful. Anyone with a smartphone should download it. Even though the app is not one of our favorites, it is a useful addition to the B Moxi 3 312. You no longer need headphones, as it has a wireless option and can transmit sounds directly from the smartphone to your ears – provided the smartphone is equipped with 2.4 GHz LE technology.
