The modern form of control via voice command is not yet found in the G5 16 Sina. Besides buttons or remote controls, some hearing aids also have tap control. This means you can simply tap your ear briefly, and then the device switches. However, we don't have that here at Audio Service; it would have required specific sensors.

If you like, you can download an app. This provides a convenient and discreet way to change the volume or hearing programs on the G5 16 Sina. Everything works quite well. Unfortunately, we have to forgo a streaming function here and continue holding the smartphone to the ear as usual.

We are also interested in how quickly one adapts to the G5 16 Sina and how easy daily usage is. The automatic situational recognition plays a significant role in our test. The better it functions, the easier our hearing goes through the day. The G5 16 Sina operates confidently here and adapts to many situations. We are very pleased with the integrated acclimatization manager. It gradually increases the volume of the hearing aid in tiny steps until our target amplification is eventually reached. We can relax and gradually become accustomed to the new hearing impressions.

The G5 16 Sina is not equipped with a rechargeable battery, so it is not rechargeable. The power supply is provided by a hearing aid battery size 10. It needs to be replaced every few days.

With IP 68 certification, the hearing aid can withstand various adverse influences. Dust cannot penetrate, it can endure prolonged immersion in water, and it is also protected against touch.

Everyone appreciates a few extra features, so let's see if we can find something here: We noticed the tinnitus option. Those who wish can set up a special tinnitus program. Unfortunately, there is no option for remote adjustment. Therefore, anyone who needs optimization and wants to change their hearing aid settings will have to visit a hearing professional.

A new trend in the hearing aid industry is integrated sensors that can track some personal health data, for example. However, the G5 16 Sina does not offer this. The functionality of the G5 16 Sina is limited to normal hearing, which is perfectly fine. Additional features such as fall alarms or Siri connections provide a substantial added value but are not relevant for good hearing balance.
