Audio Service offers the G7 8 Mood R Li T 7, a slightly visible hearing aid that is worn behind the ear. It is a hearing aid from a price range slightly above the average and is suitable for mild, moderate, and even severe hearing loss. By placing the speaker directly in the ear canal, it ensures that sound reaches the eardrum without losses.

Hearing comfort
The listening comfort determines whether someone likes to wear their hearing aids or not. That’s why we first looked at how the hearing aid handles background noise. In this model presented to us by Audio Service, we found only limited options for comfort adjustment. Of course, noise suppression is integrated, which is supposed to soften stressful background sounds. We are not spoiled with the G7 8 Mood R Li T 7, but we can manage well with basic noise suppression. We are happy that the G7 8 Mood R Li T 7 includes wind reduction.
The noise filter in this hearing aid is quite solid and suitable for everyday use. Spatial hearing requires a little practice with the G7 8 Mood R Li T 7. However, the adaptive microphone system provides good support in social situations. We always take a close look at the number of equalizer bands. They are important for adjusting the sound of a hearing aid as accurately as possible to the hearing curve. Additionally, speech noise management also takes place within these bands. The G7 8 Mood R Li T 7 has 12 of them. That’s okay.
Other hearing aids are already using artificial intelligence in their signal processing, but the G7 8 Mood R Li T 7 does not yet employ this strategy.

Most features are automatically activated by this audio service model. However, it is sometimes very useful to have the option to extend its functionality a bit. In our test, we found out what options we have here. For those who want to adjust the volume quickly and easily, there is a button on the device. You can also select additional programs for special listening situations through it. A discreet way to change the hearing aid is the remote control. It fits in any pocket. If the person opposite speaks too quietly again, one or two clicks are enough to adjust the volume. Additional hearing programs for listening to music or driving can also be activated with the remote control.
We are always pleased when a hearing aid surprises us with a great additional feature. For example, we would have liked to see voice control at this point. But that is not available in the G7 8 Mood R Li T 7 at the moment. Tap Control would have also been an interesting feature. This would allow you to change the function with a quick tap on the ear. But that is not yet available in the G7 8 Mood R Li T 7.
The app is definitely very useful. Anyone with a smartphone should download it. Although the app is not one of our favorites, it is still a useful addition to the G7 8 Mood R Li T 7. Problems with phone calls using the smartphone are a thing of the past with this device. Phone calls, music, and other sounds are transmitted completely wirelessly to the hearing aids. Headphones become unnecessary. We tested the wireless transmission during longer phone calls and for listening to music while exercising. Everything worked simply and smoothly. Only a compatible smartphone with 2.4 GHz wireless technology is needed.

The G7 8 Mood R Li T 7 features a solid everyday automation that is likely sufficient for a calmer life. However, for more complex hearing environments, we recommend the additional manual programs. The device supports the adjustment to the new hearing experience with a fully automatic acclimatization manager. It gradually adjusts the amplification in barely noticeable steps until my hearing loss is completely compensated. I only need to wear my hearing aids regularly.
The G7 8 Mood R Li T 7 contains a rechargeable battery. We find this very good, as rechargeable hearing aids are completely contemporary. There’s no need to have batteries lying around everywhere or to change the battery in the middle of a concert. The hearing aid simply charges overnight in the docking station and has enough energy for the following day.
The G7 8 is nearly dust and waterproof and, with its IP 68 classification, is certainly well protected against external influences.
The audio service charging stations provide the hearing systems with a full charge throughout the entire day, even while regularly streaming. In case of emergencies, there is a quick charge function (30-minute boost) that provides an additional 6 hours of battery life. With the optional Charging + Station, charging is combined with an integrated drying function and an integrated UV cleaning light.

Finally, let's take a quick look at whether there are any extra features: Do you suffer from tinnitus? If so, you could use the optional tinnitus program in the G7 8 Mood R Li T 7. Soft, gentle sounds are tailored to your hearing and engage all areas of the inner ear. This is nothing more than a distraction tactic, and it works surprisingly well. The tinnitus fades into the general noise and no longer bothers you. It's a simple yet effective tool and earns extra points from us.
We find the remote service quite interesting, which can be utilized. If you don't have the opportunity to visit the audiologist, you can contact them via the app instead, briefly describe your hearing issue, and then receive a data package with a new hearing aid configuration. If it sounds good, you load it into your hearing aids.
There are no sensors in this G7 8 variant, so the popular health tracking feature cannot be offered. For example, steps are counted throughout the day. As mentioned, this hearing aid does not have this feature onboard. Other hearing aids do have a few advanced options such as a fall alarm or reminder functions. We do not find this here, and that's not too dramatic, as the normal hearing functions are still the most important.
