A passionate musician may not be completely satisfied with it, but for normal hearing and sound needs, this number is entirely sufficient.

Most hearing aids automatically adapt to their surroundings. However, it can sometimes be very practical to make adjustments yourself. After all, the hearing aid doesn't know how you feel at the moment. We looked at the control options offered by the jazz XC Pro 5 10 CIC: There is a button directly on the hearing aid. With it, you can adjust the volume or activate additional listening programs. It can be programmed according to customer preferences. Of course, using it is optional. Unfortunately, this hearing aid cannot be adjusted via a remote control – a few points are lost there.
For some time now, there has been a trend to adjust hearing aids louder or quieter using voice commands. The idea is really good, but Hansaton hasn't implemented it in this device yet. Don't worry, this feature would be nice, but it's not essential. There is no control of the hearing aids with a simple tap of a finger in this Hansaton model, as certain sensors would have been needed in the casing for that.
Quickly turn up the volume via the app - unfortunately, that's not possible with the jazz XC Pro 5 10 CIC. An app is not available for this purpose. However, that is irrelevant if you are not a smartphone user anyway. A wireless connection to a smartphone or laptop is not possible, as the necessary hardware components are missing. One should think carefully about whether one can do without this feature, but why not just try it out.

Das Hören wird enorm erleichtert durch eine gute Situationserkennung. Im jazz XC Pro 5 10 CIC haben wir eine recht solide Automatik gefunden, die mit den gängigsten Hörsituationen gut klarkommt. Das könnte ausreichen, wenn die akustischen Verhältnisse nicht allzu herausfordernd sind. Ganz wichtig in Sachen Einfachheit ist uns die Unterstützung bei der Eingewöhnung. Gerade nachdem man jahrelang schlecht gehört hat, ist es manchmal schwer, alles in einer naturgetreuen Lautstärke wahrzunehmen. In unserem Testgerät gibt es einen Akklimatisierungsmanager, der uns mit ganz kleinen Lautstärkeanpassungen über die Gewöhnungsphase hinweg hilft. Nach einigen Wochen oder Monaten haben wir dann den berechneten Verstärkungslevel erreicht.
Das jazz XC Pro 5 10 CIC bekommt seine Energie aus kleinen Einweg-Batterien, die alle paar Tage gewechselt werden müssen. Das ist zwar kein Hexenwerk, sollte aber zumindest bei motorischen Problemen bedacht werden. Ein aufladbarer Akku wäre in der Handhabung wesentlich einfacher.
Hörgeräte sind äußeren Einflüssen eingesetzt. Dieses Modell weist aber keine besondere Beschichtung gegen Feuchtigkeit oder Staub auf. Das ist heutzutage ungewöhnlich und überrascht uns. Eine optimale Pflege ist hier also unerlässlich.
