For those who want to quickly and easily adjust the volume up or down, there is a button on the device. You can also select additional programs for special hearing situations through it. Remote controls for hearing aids are actually common today, but Hansaton has not provided one for this device.

Voice commands are a fairly new way of operating hearing aids. However, in this model, we do not yet have this option. That’s not too bad – the main thing is that one can hear well. Some hearing aids can also be controlled with a quick tap of the finger without having to press an extra button. This feature, however, has not yet been implemented here.

Although smartphone apps are now offered for many hearing aids, Hansaton unfortunately has not yet made one available for its jazz XC Pro 5 10 ITC. If you were looking forward to wireless streaming, we are sorry to disappoint you, as a wireless module has unfortunately not been integrated here.

The individual steps are so small that one hardly notices that there has been a volume increase.

Many hearing aids today have a rechargeable battery, but the jazz XC Pro 5 10 ITC still operates with disposable batteries. This is somewhat cumbersome to handle and also burdens the environment.

Hearing aids are exposed to external influences. However, this model does not have any special coating against moisture or dust. This is unusual nowadays and surprises us. Therefore, optimal care is essential here.

This can generate stimulating, pleasant sounds that distract from tinnitus when it is particularly strong. We find this very useful and gladly give extra points.

Unfortunately, there is no option for remote adjustment. So anyone who needs optimization and wants to change their hearing aid settings will have to visit an audiologist.

If Hansaton had integrated motion sensors into this hearing aid, individual health tracking could even be possible. However, this is not the case here. These points are lost for the jazz XC Pro 5 10 ITC in the rating. This Hansaton hearing aid has no additional lifestyle options on board. Elsewhere, there are voice assistants or reminder functions, but you don't need those for good hearing. It would have just made the product a bit cooler.
