The Audeo Paradise 50 R T from Phonak is a small hearing aid that is worn behind the ear. By utilizing the smart decision to place the speaker directly in the ear canal, very good sound transmission is possible. Audeo Paradise 50 R T is a hearing aid in a price range slightly above the average and is suitable for almost any hearing need.

Hearing comfort

The hearing comfort determines whether someone likes to wear their hearing aids or not. Therefore, we first looked at how the hearing aid handles background noise. For this model, which Phonak presents to us, we found only a few options to influence comfort. Of course, noise suppression is integrated to dampen tiring background sounds. You can also select additional programs for special hearing situations through it. Those who do not like to touch their ear to adjust the volume will appreciate the optional remote control. This allows for convenient and discreet changes to the hearing aid.

In the test, we found no voice control option. This function is not necessarily needed, but we would have appreciated it nonetheless. There is no control of the hearing aids with a simple tap in this Phonak model, as certain sensors would have been required in the housing.

Hearing aid apps are becoming increasingly popular. With the Audeo Paradise 50 R T, we are in luck: there is a suitable app. This app completely impressed us. There are not only numerous options to customize the hearing aids to personal preferences, but the app also offers plenty of lifestyle features. The Audeo Paradise 50 comes with a 2.4 GHz antenna and allows us to enjoy binaural phone calls. This even gives us an advantage over normally hearing individuals. We find this good and are happy to award points.

Usability is the next aspect we want to address. This is about everyday practicality and the question of how easy and safe it is to live with the hearing aid. We expected a bit more support in everyday hearing with the automatic situation recognition. The situations "Quiet" and "Noise" are recognized, but most of the time the sound environment is a bit more complex. The adjustment to the new hearing experience is supported by this device with a fully automatic acclimatization manager. It adjusts the amplification in barely noticeable steps until my hearing loss is completely compensated. I don't have to do anything other than wear my hearing aids regularly.

The Audeo Paradise 50 R T comes with a charger since it has built-in batteries. This is contemporary, user-friendly, and it's what we expect from a modern hearing aid.

With an IP 68 certification, the hearing aid can withstand a variety of adverse conditions. Dust cannot penetrate, it can withstand prolonged submersion in water, and it is also protected against contact.

Finally, we want to know if the hearing aid perhaps offers any specials: A special tinnitus program can be programmed in the Audeo Paradise 50 R T upon request. We find the remote service quite exciting, which can be accessed.
