It’s easy to feel and allows you to increase or decrease the volume in several steps. Additional programs for special listening situations can also be activated with it. If you prefer not to use the button, you can simply have it disabled. A remote control is available for the Virto Infinio 30 10 NW O. It’s quite handy, fits in your pocket, and offers a volume up-and-down option as well as various hearing programs.

There has been a trend for some time now to adjust hearing aids louder or quieter using voice commands. The idea is really good, but Phonak is not there yet with this device. Don’t worry, this feature would be nice, but it’s not essential. Besides buttons or remote controls, some hearing aids also have a tap control. This means you can just tap your ear briefly to switch the device. However, we don't have that feature here at Phonak; it would have required specific sensors.

Unsere Analyse befasst sich auch mit der Alltagstauglichkeit von Hörgeräten. Da geht es um Robustheit, aber auch um besondere Komfortmerkmale, die die tägliche Verwendung möglichst einfach halten sollen. Ruhige sowie laute Umgebungen kann das Virto Infinio 30 10 NW O eigenständig differenzieren, aber mehr steckt in der Programmautomatik nicht drin. Auf manuelle Einstelloptionen kann man hier kaum verzichten. Ein tolles Goodie in diesem Hörgerät ist die automatische Akklimatisierung. Gerade wenn man schon länger schlecht hört und dann erstmals ein Hörgerät trägt, ist das eine enorme Erleichterung. Die Lautstärke muss damit nämlich nicht sofort voll angehoben werden. Man kann zunächst auf einem geringeren Level starten, und ganz allmählich und fast unbemerkt nähert sich die Verstärkung dem Ziel an.

Das Virto Infinio 30 10 NW O ist nicht aufladbar. Es bekommt seine Energie weiterhin aus Einweg-Batterien der Größe 10, die alle paar Tage gewechselt werden müssen.

Einen unbeschwerten Alltag hatten wir in unserem Test aufgrund der IP-68-Zertifizierung. Die besagt, dass das Hörgerät besonders gut gegen Staub und Wasser geschützt ist. Wir sind durch den Regen marschiert und haben anschließend die Hörgeräte mit nassen Händen herausgenommen - alles kein Problem. Allerdings bezieht sich die Wasserrobustheit wirklich nur auf frisches, natürliches Wasser und nicht auf schaumiges Badewasser oder Salzwasser.

Extras

Manchmal sind es Kleinigkeiten, die ein Hörgerät perfekt machen. Deshalb gucken wir noch kurz nach den Extras, die möglicherweise hier drin stecken: Auf jeden Fall erwähnenswert ist das Tinnitusprogramm. Davon werden all jene profitieren, die von lästigen Ohrgeräuschen geplagt werden. Angenehme, leise Geräusche werden so eingestellt, dass sie den Tinnitus sanft umspielen. Am Ende versinkt der Tinnitus in der Geräuschkulisse und fällt gar nicht mehr störend auf.

Ein Online-Kontakt zum Hörakustiker über die App wäre sehr nützlich. Das ist heute schon recht verbreitet und sorgt für Hilfe bei kleinen Einstellungsproblemen. Leider verzichtet Phonak darauf und verdient sich damit auch keine Extrapunkte. 

Hätte Phonak Bewegungssensoren in dieses Hörgerät integriert, dann könnte sogar ein individuelles Gesundheits-Tracking erfolgen. Das ist hier aber nicht der Fall. Diese Punkte gehen dem Virto Infinio 30 10 NW O in der Wertung verloren. Bei anderen Hörgeräten gibt es schon ein paar erweiterte Optionen wie einen Sturzalarm oder Erinnerungsfunktionen. Hier finden wir das nicht, und das ist auch gar nicht so dramatisch, denn die normalen Hörfunktionen sind immer noch am wichtigsten.
