In this Phonak model, there is one of the most effective noise suppression systems on the market. Additionally, we are surprised at how well the impulse sound management works here. Hearing aids like the Virto Infinio 70 Titanium maintain the natural spatial perception as we have experienced since childhood. The function of the ear shell, head size, head shadow effects – all these parameters create a real, original 3D hearing experience. A brilliant listening experience is based, not least, on the number of frequency bands. The more bands there are, the narrower the individual frequency channels are, the better the hearing aid can be adjusted to individual preferences. Here we get 20 bands right away. This not only allows for a great sound impression, but the speech and noise suppression can also work very carefully. Phonak is not yet using artificial intelligence in this version.

Would you like to be able to make adjustments to your hearing aids yourself? We believe it can be quite useful to have some control options. Let’s take a look at how this works with the Virto Infinio 70 Titanium. First, we discovered a button directly on the hearing aid. This is very practical, as it is the simplest and quickest way to make changes. The volume can be adjusted with it, and different hearing programs can also be activated. If you prefer not to adjust anything directly on your ear, you can of course deactivate the button. We do like the small remote controls, and we found one for this model. This allows for discreet small adjustments to the volume or sound.
In our testing, we did not find any voice control options. This feature is not necessarily required, but we would have appreciated it nonetheless. In addition to buttons or remote controls, some hearing aids have a tap control. This means you can simply tap your ear briefly, and the device will switch. However, we do not have this feature with Phonak, as it would have required specific sensors.
If you are looking for an app, unfortunately, you will not find one here. The Virto Infinio 70 Titanium has to do without smart control features. This point is lost. A wireless connection to a smartphone or laptop is not possible, as the corresponding hardware components are lacking. You should carefully consider whether you can do without this feature, but do give it a try.

A reliable automatic function provides the Virto Infinio 70 Titanium with important points in terms of simplicity. Most hearing situations are well recognized, so manual adjustments are rarely necessary. Some people find it difficult to adjust, but this hearing aid makes it easy for us to cope with the new volume. There is an acclimatization manager that gradually introduces us to the required target amplification. The period can last a few weeks or several months, and is individually adjustable. The individual steps are so small that you hardly notice any increase in volume.
The Virto Infinio 70 Titanium is not rechargeable; it is powered by hearing aid batteries. Unlike the rechargeable battery, it does not need to be charged daily, but the size 10 battery will need to be replaced after a few days.
The data sheet certifies the Phonak device with an IP protection class of 68. This makes it one of the most resilient hearing aids on the market. Dust has no chance, and water does not penetrate the housing, as long as it does not go deeper than 1.5 m underwater. However, be careful. Shampoo, for example, changes the surface tension of water. You should also avoid saltwater. In everyday life, though, you can behave completely carefree.

Am Ende unseres Testberichtes gibt es noch ein bisschen Platz für die Extra-Features: Richtig gut gefallen hat uns das optionale Tinnitusprogramm. Es gibt doch relativ viele Menschen, die gelegentlich oder häufig von einem Pfeifen oder Rauschen im Ohr geplagt sind. Das Tinnitusprogramm im Virto Infinio 70 Titanium ist eigentlich nichts weiter als ein Klanggenerator. Es geht darum, breitbandige Geräusche oder Klänge zu erzeugen, die sanft und angenehm alle Hörbereiche stimulieren. Der Tinnitus geht darin unter und wird nicht mehr als störend wahrgenommen.
Eine Möglichkeit zur Ferneinstellung gibt es leider nicht. Wer also Optimierungsbedarf hat und seine Hörgeräteinstellung verändern lassen will, kommt um einen Besuch beim Akustik-Profi nicht umhin.
Das Tracken von Gesundheitsdaten ist ein echter Mehrwert in modernen Hörgeräten. Für diesen Dienst fehlen diesem Phonak-Modell allerdings die Sensoren. Jetzt wäre es noch schön gewesen, ein paar Lifestyle-Funktionen zu haben, aber die gibt es im Virto Infinio 70 Titanium nicht. Andere Hörgeräte können mit Sprachübersetzer oder Sturzalarm punkten, aber hier bleibt es beim üblichen Funktionsumfang.
