The Virto Marvel 50 10 NW O from Phonak is a small, barely noticeable hearing aid that is worn in the ear. By utilizing the barely noticeable wearing position in the ear canal, very good sound transmission is possible. The Virto Marvel 50 10 NW O is a hearing aid from a price range slightly above the average and is suitable for mild to moderate hearing loss.
Hearing comfort
What is most annoying for hearing aid users? Exactly, background noise. That’s why we first look at the comfort features included in the test device. In the Virto Marvel 50 10 NW O, we found few options for influencing comfort. A normal noise suppression is definitely present. It is supposed to dampen constant noises like street noise or the sound of the air conditioning. In our test device from Phonak, the noise suppression works rather average, but it is somewhat modifiable.
A filter for rattling or popping sounds is not present here – unfortunately, that's a point against it. Unfortunately, this hearing aid does not yet have wind noise suppression. Too bad. While the Virto Marvel 50 10 NW O does not have many adjustable equalizer bands, the 12 should be sufficient for a good listening experience. With the Virto Marvel 50 10 NW O, there is no need to reconstruct 3D hearing, as it is retained normally. This is made possible by the deep seating in the ear canal.

It gradually increases the volume of the hearing aid in tiny steps until our target amplification is eventually reached. We can relax and gradually get used to the new hearing impressions.
Unfortunately, the Virto Marvel 50 10 NW O is not equipped with a battery, so you need to regularly use size 10 batteries for operation.
The Virto Marvel 50 is almost dust-proof and waterproof, and with its IP 68 classification, it is certainly well protected against external influences.
