Here we get a discreet hearing aid from a price range slightly above the average, which is worn in the ear. The optimal position at the front of the ear canal lays the foundation for good hearing success, as the sound has only a very short distance to travel to the eardrum. As a result, all sounds reach exactly where we want them to.

Hearing comfort
The comfort features determine how pleasant listening is experienced in everyday life. In this hearing aid, a solid comfort programming by the hearing care professional is possible. A classic noise suppression is intended to reduce annoying background sounds to a bearable level. In the Quattro NEO 7 ITC-DW, ambient noise is reliably recognized but only moderately reduced. This device has really good wind management, making outdoor activities enjoyable.
Quickly occurring, rattling noises are noticeably and sufficiently dampened, which we find pleasant. As a normally hearing person, one usually doesn't think about spatial hearing. The 14 equalizer bands provide a solid foundation for programming the Quattro NEO 7 ITC-DW. As sound junkies, we would love a few more, but for the typical situations we encounter in our daily lives, a decent sound image can already be created from it.
Other hearing aids already use artificial intelligence in their signal processing, but this strategy is not yet implemented in the Quattro NEO 7 ITC-DW.

How can one fully exploit the potential of hearing aids in everyday life? We have discovered what access options are available with the Quattro NEO 7 ITC-DW. There is a button directly on the hearing aid. It can be used to change the volume or activate additional listening programs. It can be programmed according to customer preferences. The use of it is, of course, optional. A remote control is available for the Quattro NEO 7 ITC-DW. It is quite handy, fits in your pocket, and offers a volume up-down option as well as various listening programs.
For some time now, there has been a trend to adjust hearing aids louder or quieter using voice commands. The idea is really good, but ReSound has not yet reached this point with this device. Don't worry, this feature would be nice, but it is not essential. Some hearing aids can also be controlled with a quick tap of a finger without having to press a button. However, this feature has not yet been implemented here.
Smartphone apps are now commonly offered for better usability of hearing aids. In our assessment, the app from ReSound is among the better ones because it offers a good set of adjustment options. A streaming option would be nice for our digital everyday life. The present device meets our wish and includes a 2.4 GHz radio module. This allows phone calls and sounds to be sent directly from the smartphone to the hearing aids.

Usability is the next aspect we want to address. This is about practicality and the question of how easy and safe it is to navigate life with the hearing aid. The Quattro NEO 7 ITC-DW features an effective automatic situation management that supports our hearing well. This ensures that we don't have to constantly adjust the hearing aid. The adjustment to the new hearing experience is aided by a fully automatic acclimatization manager. It adjusts the amplification in barely noticeable steps until my hearing loss is completely compensated. I only need to wear my hearing aids regularly.

The Quattro NEO 7 is almost dustproof and waterproof, and with its IP 68 classification, it is certainly well protected against external influences.

At the end of our test report, there is still a little space for the extra features: Worth mentioning is the tinnitus program. Those plagued by annoying ear noise will benefit from it. Pleasant, quiet sounds are set to gently surround the tinnitus. In the end, the tinnitus fades into the background noise and is no longer bothersome.
ReSound keeps up with the times and provides a future-oriented feature with the remote adjustment service. Busy people with little time can contact their audiologist online and have their hearing aids reprogrammed. Hearing aid users who have a longer journey to the specialist shop also benefit from this special service.
Many hearing aids today still come with a few health functions. However, since the Quattro NEO 7 ITC-DW does not have any specific sensors for this, we cannot present any special features here. It would have been nice to have a few lifestyle functions, but these are not available in the Quattro NEO 7 ITC-DW. Other hearing aids can score with speech translators or fall alerts, but here it remains within the usual range of functions.
