This allows for discreet small adjustments to the volume or sound.
In our test, we did not find a voice control option. While this function is not strictly necessary, we would have appreciated it. There is no control of the hearing aids with a simple tap in this Signia model, as it would have required specific sensors in the casing.
The operation of the Insio 7 IX ITE is relatively simple through the associated app. It comes with plenty of additional features and impressed us quite a bit. We particularly enjoyed using the equalizer during the test. As a person with normal hearing, one might feel a bit envious, as you don’t find such a thing with wireless headphones yet. One of the best features of the hearing aid is the direct streaming function. This turns the hearing aid into a TrueWireless headphone, receiving phone calls and other sounds directly in the ear. The prerequisite is a compatible smartphone that includes 2.4 GHz technology. The biggest advantage is that phone calls can be heard not only in one ear but in both. In addition, the sound can be customized to personal needs.

Ideally, the hearing aid should operate largely independently. In this regard, the performance of the Insio 7 IX ITE is exceptionally good. It has a lot of typical hearing situations stored, which the device recognizes independently and always generates the appropriate setting. The integrated acclimatization manager can be of great help when starting to use hearing aids. Its job is to gradually increase the volume of the hearing aid in tiny steps until the target volume is reached. This way, you can slowly and comfortably get used to the new auditory experiences. The Insio 7 IX ITE gets its energy from small disposable batteries that need to be changed every few days. While this is not rocket science, it should be considered, especially in cases of motor problems. A rechargeable battery would be much easier to handle.
We had an unburdened daily life in our test due to the IP-68 certification. This means that the hearing aid is particularly well protected against dust and water. We marched through the rain and later took out the hearing aids with wet hands - all without any problems. However, the water resistance really only applies to fresh, natural water and not to soapy bath water or saltwater.

Soft, gentle sounds are tuned to your hearing and engage all areas in the inner ear. It's nothing more than a distraction maneuver, and it works surprisingly well. The tinnitus fades into the general noise and doesn’t annoy anymore. This is a simple yet effective tool and gets extra points from us.
We really like the remote adjustment feature. It is very helpful whenever you just want to change a small thing in the hearing aid settings but don’t want to drive to the audiologist. Instead, you contact them via the app, and the hearing professional sends back a customized data package in the same way.
With hearing aids, you can do much more than just hear. Here in the Insio 7 IX ITE, for example, there is the option to analyze your movement data. Then you can check in the evening how far you have walked. This type of health tracking is interesting for many customers, so additional functions might be added through future updates.
