“Can I adjust something on my hearing aid myself?” “Is there perhaps an app?” These and similar questions are becoming increasingly important when choosing a hearing aid, so let's take a look at the operating and connection options. First, we discovered a button directly on the hearing aid. This is very useful, as it is the simplest and fastest way to make changes. The volume can be adjusted through it, and different hearing programs can also be activated. If you prefer not to make adjustments directly at your ear, you can of course deactivate the button. A discreet way to change the hearing aid is the remote control. It fits in any pocket. If the person across from you is speaking too quietly again, just one or two clicks are enough to adjust the volume. Additional hearing programs for listening to music or driving can also be activated with the remote control.

Voice commands are a fairly new method of operating hearing aids. However, we do not have this option in this model yet. That's not a big deal - the main thing is that you can hear well. If there are sensors in the hearing aid, a tap control could be conceivable, which would trigger a specific function by tapping your ear with your fingers. However, this option is not available in the Pure 3 AX Charge&Go T.

As is common today, we also find a smartphone app for the Pure 3 AX Charge&Go T. This app contains solid basic functions and adds a few additional goodies. You no longer need headphones here, as it has a wireless option and can transmit sounds directly from the smartphone to your ears - if the smartphone is equipped with 2.4 GHz LE technology.

Now let's take a look at how the usage is in everyday life. Is the handling easy? Do I get a safe device? The Pure 3 AX Charge&Go T automatically accesses the most important hearing settings, making daily use easier. However, anyone who frequently experiences changing acoustic environments should have the manual additional programs configured. We give a big plus point for the automatic acclimatization assistant. It gradually increases the starting volume in very small steps until my hearing goal is reached. This significantly eases the adjustment to the new sound.

The Pure 3 AX Charge&Go T is rechargeable and no longer requires hearing aid batteries. This is environmentally friendly, as there are no old batteries to dispose of. At the same time, it is also extremely convenient, as no spare batteries need to be carried. The hearing aids simply go into the charging station at night and are ready to use the next morning.

We had a carefree everyday life in our test thanks to the IP-68 certification. This indicates that the hearing aid is particularly well protected against dust and water. We marched through the rain and then took the hearing aids out with wet hands - no problem at all. However, the water robustness really only applies to fresh, natural water and not to foamy bath water or saltwater.

Zum Schluss schauen wir kurz, ob es noch irgendwelche Extras gibt: Richtig gut gefallen hat uns das optionale Tinnitusprogramm. Es gibt doch relativ viele Menschen, die gelegentlich oder häufig von einem Pfeifen oder Rauschen im Ohr geplagt sind. Das Tinnitusprogramm im Pure 3 AX Charge&Go T ist eigentlich nichts weiter als ein Klanggenerator. Es geht darum, breitbandige Geräusche oder Klänge zu erzeugen, die sanft und angenehm alle Hörbereiche stimulieren. Der Tinnitus geht darin unter und wird nicht mehr als störend wahrgenommen.

Einen echten Mehrwert bietet der Fernwartungsdienst. Für eine Veränderung der Hörgeräteeinstellung muss man nicht mehr zwingend ins Fachgeschäft gehen, sondern kann direkt über die App Kontakt zum Akustiker aufnehmen. Über einen Cloud-Dienst kann man dann das neue Datenpaket in die Hörgeräte laden. Genau so etwas erwarten wir von einem zeitgemäßen Hörgerät.

Spezielle Sensoren im Signia Pure 3 AX Charge&Go T bieten ganz neue Einblicke in Ihren Gesundheitszustand. So können Sie z.B. am Ende eines Tages schauen, wieviele Schritte Sie gegangen sind. Ihr Smartphone müssen Sie unterwegs übrigens nicht einmal dabei haben. Lediglich zum Auslesen der Daten müssen Sie einen Blick in die App werfen.  Jetzt wäre es noch schön gewesen, ein paar Lifestyle-Funktionen zu haben, aber die gibt es im Pure 3 AX Charge&Go T nicht. Andere Hörgeräte können mit Sprachübersetzer oder Sturzalarm punkten, aber hier bleibt es beim üblichen Funktionsumfang.
