In our test, we discovered the following access options: There is usually a button on the hearing aid, and we found one on the B Moxi 9 as well. It can be configured as a volume control or program selection button and can also be turned off if desired. We do like the small remote controls, and we found one for this model. This allows for discreet small adjustments to the volume or sound.
This device from Unitron can be controlled by voice command. This very modern way of operating hearing aids is really convenient and, above all, very quick. Touch control requires sensors to be implemented in the hearing aid. This is indeed the case here. You can simply tap on the outer ear with a few fingers or the flat of your hand to trigger a command. This could be, for example, activating a TV adapter or answering a phone call. Your hearing care professional will configure it with you.
The app is definitely very useful. Anyone with a smartphone should download it. Even though the app is not one of our favorites, it is a useful addition to the B Moxi 9 R T. Issues with phone calls using a smartphone are a thing of the past with this device. Calls, music, and other sounds are completely wirelessly transmitted to the hearing aids. Headphones are thus unnecessary. We tested the wireless transmission during longer phone calls as well as for listening to music while exercising. Everything worked simply and smoothly. Only a suitable smartphone with 2.4 GHz wireless technology is required.

We are very pleased with the integrated acclimatization manager. It gradually increases the volume of the hearing aid in tiny steps until our target amplification is eventually reached. We can relax and gradually get used to the new hearing impressions.
The B Moxi 9 R T is rechargeable and no longer requires hearing aid batteries. This is environmentally friendly, as there are no old batteries to dispose of. At the same time, it's also extremely convenient, as no replacement batteries need to be carried. The hearing aids simply go into the charging station in the evening and are ready to use the next morning.
We had a carefree everyday life in our test due to the IP-68 certification. This means that the hearing aid is particularly well protected against dust and water. We marched through the rain and afterward took the hearing aids out with wet hands - no problem at all. However, the water resistance really only pertains to fresh, natural water and not foamy bath water or saltwater.

Everyone is pleased with a few extra features, so let's see if we can find some here: Unitron has integrated a sound generator that plays some soothing sounds for those suffering from tinnitus. This can help distract from the tinnitus and provide a bit more relaxation.
The option for remote adjustment is really great. It's very helpful whenever someone wants to make a small change to the hearing aid settings but doesn't want to go to the audiologist. Instead, you contact them via the app, and the hearing professional sends a customized data package back in the same way.
A new trend in the hearing aid industry is integrated sensors that can track, for example, some personal health data. However, the B Moxi 9 R T does not offer this. The functionality of the B Moxi 9 R T is limited to normal hearing, which is perfectly fine. Additional features like fall alerts or Siri connections add significant value, but they are not relevant for a good hearing balance.
