With the V Moxi 3 RS, this is not a problem at all, as it has intelligent and effective wind noise suppression. This not only reduces the audible turbulence but also maintains speech understanding. With 12 frequency bands, a pretty good sound can be adjusted. A passionate musician may not be completely satisfied with this, but for normal hearing and sound needs, this number is more than sufficient. We cannot create true 3D surround sound with the current test device. Especially outdoors, one should often look around to locate individual sound sources. But focusing on a specific speaker works quite well with the integrated directional microphones.

By the way, with this Unitron device, you might perceive the sound as clearer and more natural, especially in noisy environments. This is likely due to the implemented artificial intelligence. The hearing aid has already been trained with millions of real sounds, leading to a significantly improved distinction between speech and noise.

We wanted to know how users can further access the V Moxi 3 RS. There is a button directly on the hearing aid. This allows the user to adjust the volume or activate additional hearing programs. It can be programmed according to customer preferences. The use is of course optional. A discreet way to change the hearing aid is the remote control. It fits in any pocket. If the person you are speaking with is too quiet again, just one or two clicks are enough to adjust the volume. Additional hearing programs for listening to music or driving can also be activated with the remote control.

The voice control was really fun for us when testing the V Moxi 3 RS. Most of us are already used to talking to their watch or car. So this feature also fits into a high-tech product worn on the ear. With sensor technology, Unitron is taking an innovative approach and opening up entirely new opportunities. For example, there is a tap control for the V Moxi 3 RS. Simply tap briefly but noticeably with your flat hand or a few fingers on your ear shell. The hearing aid can then perform a specific function, such as switching to a special setting. Your audiologist can configure this according to your preferences.

In the App Store, we also find a suitable application from Unitron. The app for the V Moxi 3 RS is not one of our highlights, but it has everything you need for your hearing systems. The V Moxi 3 comes with a 2.4 GHz antenna and allows us to enjoy binaural phone calls. This even gives us an advantage over normal hearing individuals. We think that's great and are happy to give it points.

Simplicity & security

Our analysis also addresses the practicality of hearing aids in everyday life. This pertains to robustness, but also to special comfort features that should make daily use as easy as possible. Unfortunately, the simple hearing experience with the V Moxi 3 RS isn't great. The situation automatic is quite limited, offering little support when it gets loud around us. This can be compensated by using the manual adjustment options. However, this hardly scores points in terms of simplicity. Some people struggle to adapt, but this hearing aid makes it easy for us to cope with the new volume. There is an adaptation manager that gradually leads us to the required target amplification. The period can last from a few weeks to several months, and this is individually adjustable. The individual steps are so small that you hardly notice there has been a volume increase.

A significant relief in daily life is the integrated battery. With this, my V Moxi 3 RS always has enough energy for the whole day, and I no longer have to fear that the batteries will suddenly run out in the middle of an event. Even for those with limited dexterity, a battery system is very helpful, as it eliminates the need to insert small button cells.

We had a carefree everyday life in our test due to the IP-68 certification. This indicates that the hearing aid is particularly well protected against dust and water. We marched through the rain and then removed the hearing aids with wet hands - no problem at all. However, the water resistance only really applies to fresh, natural water and not to soapy bath water or saltwater.

Then you might use the optional tinnitus program in the V Moxi 3 RS. Soft, gentle sounds are tailored to your hearing and engage all areas of the inner ear. It is nothing more than a distraction technique, and it works remarkably well. The tinnitus fades into the general noise and does not annoy anymore. This is a simple but effective tool and earns extra points from us.

Unitron is keeping up with the times and offers a forward-looking feature with the remote adjustment service. Working individuals with little time can contact their audiologist online and have their hearing aids reprogrammed. Hearing aid users who have a longer commute to the specialist store also benefit from this special service.

This V Moxi 3 variant does not have sensors, so popular health tracking cannot be offered. For example, daily steps are counted. As mentioned - this hearing aid does not have this function onboard. This Unitron hearing aid does not include any additional lifestyle options. Elsewhere, there are voice assistants or reminder functions, but you don't need that for good hearing. It would have just made the product a bit cooler.
