It can be adjusted by the acoustician to individual preferences and provides exactly the level of attenuation the customer desires. With this, you are well-equipped for demanding listening environments.
Extremely useful is the impulse noise suppression. It effectively captures all clattering, banging, and crackling sounds and reliably softens them. Wind can significantly limit hearing comfort outdoors when it sweeps across the microphones. But the V Moxi 9 RT has an efficient wind noise suppression integrated. It works really well and will delight those who enjoy spending time outside. It can be adjusted in multiple stages to meet individual needs. We found an impressive 20 equalizer bands in the V Moxi 9 RT. In each band, the hearing aid activates its sound management, filtering out the distracting components while retaining important speech elements. Sound adjustments can be targeted and precise. We are very satisfied with this. Especially with sharp or steeply falling hearing curves, such a hearing aid can be very useful. 3D hearing is very important for a natural impression. The device does not leave any wishes unfulfilled and impressed us in this regard.
By the way, you might perceive the sound of this Unitron device as clearer and more natural, especially in noisy environments. This is probably due to the implemented artificial intelligence. The hearing aid has already been fed with millions of real sounds, which leads to significantly improved differentiation between speech and noise.

There is a button directly on the hearing aid. This can be used to adjust the volume or activate additional hearing programs. It can be programmed according to customer preferences. The usage is, of course, optional. Those who do not like to touch their ear to adjust the volume will appreciate the optional remote control. This allows for comfortable and discreet adjustments to the hearing aid.
Voice control for devices is widespread in other areas, and now it is available in hearing aids as well. The V Moxi 9 RT can adjust the volume or switch to another hearing program with a simple voice command. A fingertip control requires that sensors are implemented in the hearing aid. This is indeed the case here. You can simply tap the outer ear with a few fingers or the palm of your hand to trigger a command. This could be, for example, activating a TV adapter or answering a phone call. Your hearing care professional will configure the exact settings with you.
In the App Store, we also find a suitable application from Unitron. The app for the V Moxi 9 RT is not one of our highlights, but it has everything needed for your hearing systems. Problems with smartphone calls are a thing of the past with this device. Phone calls, music, and other sounds are transmitted completely wirelessly to the hearing aids. Headphones become unnecessary. We tested the wireless transmission during longer phone calls as well as for listening to music while exercising. Everything worked simply and smoothly. Only a compatible smartphone with 2.4 GHz wireless technology is required.

How does one manage with hearing aids in everyday life? This is the next aspect we will assess. Because only when such a device functions easily and uncomplicatedly can one become accustomed to it. Ideally, the hearing aid would operate largely independently. The performance of the V Moxi 9 RT is exceptionally good in this respect. It has a plethora of typical hearing situations stored, which the device recognizes independently and always generates the appropriate setting. The adjustment to the new hearing sensation is supported by this device with a fully automatic acclimatization manager. It adjusts the amplification in barely perceptible steps until my hearing loss is completely balanced. I don't have to do anything apart from regularly wearing my hearing aids.
A charger is included with the V Moxi 9 RT, as it has built-in batteries. This is contemporary, user-friendly, and is what we expect from a modern hearing aid.
With an IP 68 certification, the hearing aid can withstand a variety of adverse conditions. Dust cannot penetrate, it can withstand prolonged submersion in water, and it is also protected against touching.

Before we reach the end, let's take a look at the extras: Unitron has integrated a noise generator that plays some soothing sounds for those suffering from tinnitus. This can distract from the tinnitus and provide a bit more relaxation.
A clever tool is the integrated remote service. Almost everyone has a smartphone, and time is a precious resource. Therefore, such a remote service is absolutely appropriate. If someone needs a new programming of their hearing aids, they can easily contact the audiologist through the app and describe their hearing preferences. Through a cloud service, the professional can then send a customized setting as a data package to the app. From there, it is loaded onto the hearing aid and can be tested immediately. This definitely earns extra points in our test.
Tracking health data is a real added value in modern hearing aids. However, this Unitron model lacks the sensors for this service. Other hearing aids already have some advanced options like a fall alert or reminder functions. We don’t find that here, and that’s not too dramatic, as the normal hearing functions are still the most important.
