Unfortunately, we will be disappointed here with the IIC, as there is no immediate adjustment option. Can the Encanta 100 be operated remotely? Unfortunately not, as there is no suitable device available.
The modern form of operation via voice command is not yet found in the Encanta 100 IIC. Another option for controlling the hearing aids is tap control. To do this, you simply tap your fingers on your ear, which triggers a specific function. However, this option is not available in this Bernafon device.
Quickly turning up the volume via the app – unfortunately, that's not possible with the Encanta 100 IIC. An app is not available for this purpose. However, this is irrelevant if you are not a smartphone user anyway. The smartphone cannot be connected to the hearing aid, as the corresponding equipment with a radio antenna is unfortunately missing.

Here are our answers: Unfortunately, the performance in terms of simple hearing with the Encanta 100 IIC is not very good. The situation automation is quite minimal, providing little support when it gets loud around us. This can be compensated by using the manual adjustment options. However, this hardly scores points in terms of simplicity. The integrated acclimatization manager can be of great help when entering the world of hearing aids. Its task is to gradually increase the volume of the hearing aid in tiny steps until the target volume is reached. This way, you can relax and gradually get used to the new auditory experiences. Many hearing aids today have a rechargeable battery, but the Encanta 100 IIC still operates with disposable batteries. This is somewhat cumbersome to handle and also burdens the environment. The Encanta 100 is virtually dust and waterproof and is surely well protected against external influences with its IP 68 classification.

Online services are becoming increasingly common. There is often a remote maintenance service available for hearing aids. However, Bernafon has not provided such a feature for its Encanta 100 IIC. Therefore, one has to go to the specialist store every time they want to program their hearing aid differently. No extra point for that.
If Bernafon had integrated motion sensors into this hearing aid, individual health tracking could even be possible. However, that is not the case here. These points are lost in the evaluation of the Encanta 100 IIC. The device from Bernafon focuses on essential hearing functions and does not offer extras like voice assistants or translation functions. While that would have been fun, it is not necessary for a good listening experience.
