Hearing comfort
The comfort features determine how pleasant hearing is experienced in everyday life. In this hearing aid, we find only the absolute essentials regarding hearing comfort. A classic noise suppression is supposed to reduce annoying background noises to a tolerable level. In the Viron 1 MNR T R, it is only somewhat effective. Taking a look at the price, this might be acceptable. We found a basic wind noise detection, but unfortunately, there is nothing adjustable.
Points are deducted for the lack of impulse noise suppression. Normally, this dampens short, rattling sounds. But those who choose this hearing aid should not be disturbed by this. We miss a natural spatial hearing in this device, which indeed creates some difficulties in everyday life. We can no longer reliably identify directions. Anyone with limited vision should consider choosing a different hearing aid. Let's take a quick look at the equalizer: with 8 bands, it is not particularly flexible. With a few more channels, we would likely have achieved a nicer, more natural sound experience. But at least we can adjust the sound to our hearing sensitivity quite reasonably.

Additional hearing programs for listening to music or for driving can also be activated with the remote control.
Voice commands are a relatively new way to operate hearing aids. However, this model does not have this option yet. That's not too bad - the main thing is that you can hear well. Another option for controlling the hearing aids is tapping control. You simply tap your ear with your fingers, which triggers a specific function. But this option is not available in this Bernafon device.
It is very convenient to adjust the hearing aids via the app. There is also a free app for the Viron 1 MNR T R. In our opinion, the range of functions is average, but usually sufficient. It’s best to try it out in demo mode beforehand. One of the best features in the hearing aid is the direct streaming function. This turns the hearing aid into a TrueWireless headset and allows you to receive phone calls and other sounds directly in your ear. A compatible smartphone that includes 2.4 GHz technology is required. The biggest advantage is that you can hear phone calls in both ears, not just one. Additionally, the sound can be tailored to personal preferences.

The Viron 1 MNR T R has a rechargeable battery. We think this is very good, as rechargeable hearing aids are absolutely up-to-date. You don't have to have batteries lying around everywhere, and you also don't have to change the battery in the middle of a concert. The hearing aid is simply placed in the charging station overnight and has enough energy for the following day.
With IP 68 certification, the hearing aid can withstand various adverse influences. Dust cannot penetrate, it can withstand longer submersions in water, and it is also protected against contact.
