First, we looked at the comfort features. The better these are, the easier and more pleasant the listening experience is. Moving on to the test: How is the user-friendliness? Is it easy or complicated to handle the hearing aid? The situation detection did not impress us much. Quiet and loud environments are identified, and the jazz XC Pro 3 312 Dir W ITC adjusts accordingly. But as soon as the acoustic conditions become more challenging and different noise sources arise simultaneously, you may need to make some adjustments to the hearing aid yourself. The adjustment to the new hearing experience is supported by this device with a fully automatic acclimatization manager. It adjusts the amplification in barely noticeable steps until my hearing loss is completely compensated. I don't have to do anything other than wear my hearing aids regularly.

We regret that the jazz XC Pro 3 312 Dir W ITC does not have a battery but is powered by hearing aid batteries size 312. This is not particularly problematic, but one should remember to carry spare batteries. On the other hand: This hearing aid does not need to be charged daily; it runs for a longer time on a single battery.

Unfortunately, this hearing aid does not have any special protection against dust or moisture ingress; in any case, there is no certification that defines the robustness of the device. It may not be well-suited for an active daily life.

Finally, we are curious if there are any additional goodies: We noticed the tinnitus option. Those who wish can have a special tinnitus program set up. This applies a gentle noise in the ears if needed, to distract from the annoying tinnitus. The sounds can be tailored to personal hearing preferences.

We find the remote maintenance service quite exciting, which can be utilized. If one does not have the opportunity to visit the audiologist, they can instead contact them via the app, briefly describe their hearing problem, and subsequently receive a data package with a new hearing aid configuration. If it sounds good, they can upload it to their hearing aids.

If Hansaton had integrated motion sensors into this hearing aid, individual health tracking could even be possible. However, that is not the case here.
