The jazz XC Pro 7 10 ITC provides customers with comprehensive noise management. Normal noise suppression is definitely present. It is meant to dampen constant sounds like street noise or the hum of the air conditioning. In our test device from Hansaton, we are satisfied with the effectiveness of the noise suppression. It can not only be turned on or off, but also adjusted step-by-step.
We are pleased to find a good and efficient impulse sound suppression here. This is definitely useful in everyday life as it noticeably cushions slamming doors, clattering dishes, or similar rattling sounds. The wind noise suppression here is very solid and satisfies us in daily situations. 16 adjustable equalizer bands provide enough room to create a reliable and precise listening experience. Spatial hearing with the jazz XC Pro 7 10 ITC occurs in a completely natural way. Due to the special placement deep in the ear canal, the function of the pinna is retained, and there are no losses in directional hearing.
Other hearing aids already use artificial intelligence in their signal processing, but this strategy is not yet embedded in the jazz XC Pro 7 10 ITC.

“Can I make adjustments to my hearing aid myself?” “Is there perhaps an app?” These and similar questions are becoming increasingly important when choosing a hearing aid, so let’s take a look at the options for operation and connectivity. First, we discovered a button directly on the hearing aid. This is very sensible, as it is the simplest and quickest way to make changes. The volume can be adjusted through it, and different hearing programs can also be activated. If one prefers not to adjust anything directly at the ear, the button can of course be deactivated. Unfortunately, this hearing aid cannot be adjusted via a remote control – a few points are lost there.
Voice commands are a relatively new way of operating hearing aids. However, we do not have this option in this model yet. That’s not a big deal - the main thing is that one can hear well. Tap Control would also have been an interesting feature. With this, one could change the function with a quick tap on the ear. But this is not available in the jazz XC Pro 7 10 ITC yet.
Although smartphone apps are now offered for many hearing aids, Hansaton unfortunately does not provide one for its jazz XC Pro 7 10 ITC yet. We unfortunately have to forgo a streaming function here and continue to hold the smartphone normally to the ear.

A reliable automatic situation adjustment gives the jazz XC Pro 7 10 ITC important points in terms of simplicity. Most hearing situations are well recognized, so manual adjustments are rarely necessary. A great perk of this hearing aid is the automatic acclimatization. The volume does not have to be immediately turned all the way up. One can start at a lower level and gradually, almost imperceptibly, the amplification approaches the target.

Lastly, we are interested in whether there are any additional goodies on top: A special tinnitus program can be programmed into the jazz XC Pro 7 10 ITC upon request. This allows for the generation of stimulating, pleasant sounds that distract from tinnitus when it is particularly strong. We find this very useful and are happy to award extra points.
A nice feature would be a remote maintenance service, allowing help from a hearing professional even when one cannot come to the store. But unfortunately, this is not available here, so there are no extra points.
If Hansaton had integrated motion sensors into this hearing aid, it could even allow for individual health tracking. However, that is not the case here. These points are lost for the jazz XC Pro 7 10 ITC in the rating. This Hansaton hearing aid has no further lifestyle options onboard. Elsewhere, there are voice assistants or reminder functions, but you don't need those for good hearing. They would have just made the product a bit cooler.
