In our test, we discovered the following access options: First, we found a button directly on the hearing aid. This is very useful, as it is the simplest and quickest way to make a change. The volume can be adjusted through it, and different hearing programs can also be activated. If you prefer not to adjust anything directly at your ear, you can of course deactivate the button. We did not find a remote control. That's a pity, as we actually find this discreet control option quite good.

The modern form of operation via voice command is not yet present in the jazz XC Pro 9 10 CIC. Another option for controlling the hearing aids is a tap control. You simply tap on your ear with your fingers, which then triggers a specific function. However, this option is not available in this Hansaton device.

Quickly increasing the volume via the app - unfortunately, this is not possible with the jazz XC Pro 9 10 CIC. An app is not available for this. However, this is irrelevant if you are not a smartphone user anyway. Wireless connectivity options are completely lacking in this variant. This is somewhat outdated, but it is probably due to the small size of the hearing aid.

The jazz XC Pro 9 10 CIC performs really well in situation recognition. Those who desire comprehensive and powerful full automation in a hearing aid and want to adjust it as little as possible will be well served here. The adaptive algorithms disentangle the individual sound events in the environment and present the soundscape clearly and precisely. We are very pleased with the integrated acclimatization manager. It gradually increases the volume of the hearing aid in tiny steps until our target amplification is eventually reached. We can relax and gradually get used to the new hearing impressions.

The jazz XC Pro 9 10 CIC is not rechargeable. It operates with hearing aid batteries size 10. Disadvantage: The batteries are disposed of after use. Advantage: Daily recharging of batteries is eliminated; the hearing aid runs continuously for several days on one battery.

For a safe everyday feeling, a solid dust and moisture protection is also important. However, there is no IP certification present. Presumably, this model is not really well-equipped against penetrating dust or moisture. This is not up-to-date and results in point deduction.

It would have just made the product a bit cooler.
