Those who prefer to do without the button can simply have it deactivated. Those who don’t like to touch their ear to adjust the volume will appreciate the optional remote control. This allows for comfortable and discreet changes to the hearing aid.
Some hearing aids can already be controlled by voice, but this one from Phonak cannot yet. It would be practical when fingers are not as nimble, or if someone simply likes smart gadgets. This Phonak model does not have the capability to control the hearing aids with a simple tap of the finger, as it would have required specific sensors in the housing.
Apps for hearing aids are now widespread. The one for the Audeo Lumity 50 R has awakened our playful side. The volume does not have to be immediately turned up to the maximum. One can start at a lower level and gradually and almost imperceptibly approach the desired amplification.
The Audeo Lumity 50 R is rechargeable and no longer requires hearing aid batteries. This is environmentally friendly as there are no old batteries to dispose of. At the same time, it is also extremely convenient, as no spare batteries need to be carried. The hearing aids simply go into the charging station in the evening and are ready for use the next morning.
With an IP 68 certification, the hearing aid can withstand various adverse influences. Dust cannot penetrate, it can withstand prolonged immersion in water, and is also protected against contact.
