The Audeo Paradise 70 R T from Phonak is a small hearing aid that is worn behind the ear. By utilizing the cleverly chosen placement of the speaker in the ear canal, very good sound transmission is made possible. The Audeo Paradise 70 R T is a hearing aid from the high price range and is suitable for nearly every hearing requirement.
Hearing comfort
Initially, we looked at the comfort features. The better these are, the easier and more pleasant the listening experience becomes. In this hearing aid, the manufacturer provides the customer with comprehensive sound management. The traditional noise suppression ensures that consistent, unimportant sounds are slightly reduced. The Audeo Paradise 70 R T includes impressive and well-functioning noise reduction. We are thrilled with how clearly the wind noise is suppressed and how stable the device operates even in stronger winds.
Additionally, we are surprised at how well the impulse sound management works here. Nothing blasts, nothing rattles – very good! Spatial hearing works very reliably. Directional hearing is supported, and the spatial impression is good. We found an impressive 20 equalizer bands in the Audeo Paradise 70 R T. In each band, the hearing aid activates its sound management, filters out the disturbing elements, and retains important speech components. Sound adjustments can be targeted and precise. We are very satisfied with this. Especially with sharp or steeply falling hearing curves, such a hearing aid can be very useful.
Sometimes we experience hearing aids that successfully process data using artificial intelligence, but this device has not reached that level yet.

It can be configured as a volume control or program selection button and can be deactivated upon request. We do like the small remote controls, and we found one for this model. This allows you to discreetly make small adjustments to the volume or sound.
A sensible addition is the ability to control the Audeo Paradise 70 R T via voice command. This is already familiar from smartphones or car navigation systems, and it can be very practical in a hearing aid as well. We are particularly excited about the Tap control. A quick tap with your fingers on your ear switches the hearing aid to a different mode. Here, Phonak is quite a bit ahead of others with this model. In our eyes, the Tap control is not only modern but also very convenient.
Hearing aid apps are becoming increasingly popular. With the Audeo Paradise 70 R T, we are in luck: there is a suitable app. This app completely impressed us. Not only does it offer numerous options to customize the hearing aids to individual hearing preferences, but the app also includes plenty of lifestyle features. The Audeo Paradise 70 comes with a 2.4 GHz antenna and allows for stereo phone calls. This even gives us an advantage over those with normal hearing. We think that’s great and are happy to give points for it.

The data can then be viewed in the app. It is quite possible that subsequent updates will add more tracking features. Other hearing aids already have a few extended options such as a fall alert or reminder functions. We do not find those here, and that's not so dramatic because the normal hearing functions are still the most important.
