This makes a lot of sense, as it is the simplest and quickest way to make adjustments. The volume can be adjusted with it, and different listening programs can also be activated. If someone prefers not to adjust anything directly at the ear, the button can of course be deactivated. The small remote control, which is available as an option, is very practical. For us, it's one of the most convenient ways to increase or decrease the volume or switch to another listening program. No one notices it, and there’s no need to touch the ear.

We are always excited when a hearing aid surprises us with a great additional feature. For example, we would have loved to see voice control at this point. However, there is currently none in the Pure 3 IX Charge&Go. Another option for controlling the hearing aids is a tapping control. You simply tap your fingers on your ear, which triggers a specific function. But this option is not available in this Signia device.

In the App Store, we also find a suitable application from Signia. The app for the Pure 3 IX Charge&Go is not one of our highlights but has everything you need for your hearing systems. You no longer need headphones, as it has a wireless option and can transmit sounds directly from your smartphone to your ears – provided the smartphone is equipped with 2.4 GHz LE technology.

Another point on our checklist is handling. Does everything work simply and reliably? What does the hearing aid offer to ensure safe use in everyday life? Typical hearing situations that everyone experiences in their environment are reliably recognized and adjusted through automatic controls. However, for more specific recurring requirements, one cannot avoid using manual hearing programs. Some people struggle with the adjustment, but this hearing aid makes it easy for us to cope with the new volume. There is a learning manager that gradually leads us to the desired target amplification. The adjustment period can last a few weeks or even several months; it is individually customizable. The individual steps are so small that one does not even notice that there was a volume increase.

A great relief in everyday life is the integrated battery. With this, my Pure 3 IX Charge&Go always has enough energy for the whole day, and I no longer have to worry about the batteries suddenly running out in the middle of an event. An accumulator system is also very helpful for those with limited dexterity, as it eliminates the need for inserting small button cells.

The Pure 3 IX is almost dust and water-resistant and, with its IP 68 classification, is certainly well protected against external influences.

This allows for the generation of stimulating, pleasant sounds that distract from tinnitus when it becomes particularly intense. We find this very useful and are happy to award extra points.

A clever tool is the integrated remote service. Almost everyone has a smartphone, and time is a valuable commodity. Therefore, such a remote service is absolutely appropriate. Those who need a new programming for their hearing aids can easily contact the audiologist via the app and describe their hearing preferences. Through a cloud service, the professional can then send a custom setting as a data package to the app. From there, it is loaded onto the hearing aid and can be tried out immediately. This definitely deserves extra points in our test.

For health-conscious individuals, there is a small special feature in the Pure 3 IX Charge&Go: health tracking. For example, steps can be counted throughout the day, and one receives feedback on their own physical activity. Sensors in the hearing aid track the individual data, which can then be read in the app. It would have been nice to have a few lifestyle features as well, but these are not available in the Pure 3 IX Charge&Go. Other hearing aids can score with speech translators or fall alarms, but here it remains within the usual range of functions.
