Good speech understanding is undoubtedly a given in modern hearing aids. Equally important is listening comfort. Only when the balance between speech transmission and the level of background noise is right, is hearing experienced as pleasant. That's why we take a look at the comfort features: The manufacturer provides customers of the Pure 3 IX Charge&Go T with a comprehensive noise management system. Normal background noises such as street noise, the sound of a vacuum cleaner, or noise from fans are to be suppressed by classical noise cancellation. In this Signia hearing aid, background noise is reliably recognized but only moderately reduced.

This allows for effortless volume adjustment. The handling is not only child's play, but no one will even notice that you are currently adjusting your hearing aids.

We are always pleased when a hearing aid surprises us with a great additional feature. For example, we would have liked to see voice control at this point. However, this is currently not available in the Pure 3 IX Charge&Go T. Tap Control would have also been an interesting feature. With it, you can change the function with a quick tap on the ear. But this is not yet available in the Pure 3 IX Charge&Go T.

As is common today, we also find a smartphone app for the Pure 3 IX Charge&Go T. This app includes solid basic functions and adds a few goodies on top. Problems with phone calls using the smartphone are a thing of the past with this device. Phone calls, music, and other sounds are transmitted completely wirelessly to the hearing aids. Headphones become unnecessary. We tested the wireless transmission during longer phone calls and for listening to music while exercising. Everything worked simply and smoothly. A suitable smartphone with 2.4 GHz radio technology is all that is needed.

Another point on our checklist is handling. Is everything easy and reliable? What does the hearing aid offer to ensure a safe application in everyday life? When it comes to simplicity, it initially concerns easy, effortless hearing. This works quite well with the existing situational automation in the Pure 3 IX Charge&Go T. However, when the acoustic environment becomes a bit more varied, the automation reaches its limits, and we prefer to rely on manual adjustment options. We give a big plus point for the automatic acclimatization assistant. It raises the starting volume in very small steps until my hearing goal is achieved. This significantly eases the adaptation to the new sound.

The Pure 3 IX Charge&Go T is rechargeable and no longer requires hearing aid batteries. This is environmentally friendly, as there are no old batteries to dispose of. At the same time, it is also extremely convenient, as no replacement batteries need to be carried. The hearing aids simply go into the charging station at night and are ready for use the next morning.

The hearing aid has been classified in IP protection class 68. This guarantees comprehensive protection against the ingress of dust. Water cannot easily harm the hearing aid either. Thus, it is well-equipped for outdoor activities where it can get wet and dirty. However, you should still avoid bathing or swimming with the hearing aids.
