We are also interested in how quickly one can adapt to the Evolv AI 1200 CIC and how easy daily use is. Unfortunately, there is not a powerful situational automatic feature in the Evolv AI 1200 CIC. We have to make do with a few standard settings. Active hearing aid users will certainly encounter limitations here. The adjustment to the new hearing experience is supported by this device with a fully automatic acclimatization manager. It adjusts the amplification in barely noticeable steps until my hearing loss is completely compensated. I don't have to do anything other than wear my hearing aids regularly.
The Evolv AI 1200 CIC is not rechargeable. It operates with hearing aid batteries size 10. Disadvantage: The batteries are disposed of after use. Advantage: The daily charging of batteries is eliminated, and the hearing aid runs continuously for several days on one battery.
Hearing aids are exposed to external influences. However, this model does not have any special coating against moisture or dust. This is unusual nowadays and surprises us. Therefore, optimal care is essential here.

Finally, we want to know if the hearing aid might offer some specials: Are you among those suffering from tinnitus? Then you could use the optional tinnitus program in the Evolv AI 1200 CIC. Soft, gentle sounds are tailored to your hearing and engage all areas of the inner ear. It’s nothing more than a distraction tactic, and it works surprisingly well. The tinnitus fades into the overall noise and no longer bothers you. This is a simple yet effective tool and earns extra points from us.
An online contact with the hearing acoustician via the app would be very useful. This is already quite common today and provides help with minor adjustment issues. Unfortunately, Starkey does not offer this and therefore does not earn any extra points.
There are no sensors in this Evolv AI 1200 variant, so the popular health tracking cannot be offered. For example, steps are counted throughout the day. As mentioned - this hearing aid does not have this function onboard. It would have been nice to have some lifestyle features, but these are not available in the Evolv AI 1200 CIC. Other hearing aids can score points with language translators or fall alarms, but here it remains within the usual range of functions.
