Unitron offers the B Insera 3 312 NW O, a delicate, small hearing aid that is worn in the ear. It is a hearing aid from the budget segment and is suitable for mild to moderate hearing losses. The direct placement in the ear canal ensures that sound reaches the eardrum without any losses.
Hearing comfort
The comfort features determine how pleasant listening is experienced in everyday situations. In this hearing aid, we found very few options for influencing comfort. A classic noise suppression is intended to reduce annoying background noises to a tolerable level. In the B Insera 3 312 NW O, it works only very limitedly. Looking at the price, it might just fit. We are impressed with how effectively wind noise is suppressed and how stable the device operates even in stronger winds.
Additionally, there is a really strong impulse filter that reduces all short, intense sounds as much as the customer desires. However, those seeking good 3D hearing will be disappointed. The right and left hearing aids do not coordinate with each other, and the microphones lack additional features. This makes it difficult to reliably locate sound sources through hearing. A solid basis for programming the B Insera 3 312 NW O is provided by the 12 equalizer bands. As sound enthusiasts, we would wish for a few more, but for the typical situations we encounter in our daily lives, a quite reasonable sound profile can be created from this.
The signal processing is based, among other things, on typical frequency patterns of speech and noise, but artificial intelligence is not yet in use here.

First, we discovered a button directly on the hearing aid. This is very useful, as it is the simplest and quickest way to make adjustments. The volume can be adjusted through it, and different hearing programs can be activated as well. If you prefer not to make any adjustments directly at the ear, you can of course deactivate the button. Very practical is the small remote control, which is available as an option. For us, this is one of the most convenient ways to turn the hearing aid louder or quieter or to switch to another hearing program. Nobody notices it, and reaching for the ear is not necessary.
The modern form of operation via voice command is not yet present in the B Insera 3 312 NW O. There is no control of the hearing aids with a simple tap in this Unitron model, as it would have needed certain sensors in the housing.
If you are looking for an app, unfortunately, you won't find one here. The B Insera 3 312 NW O has to make do without smart control functions. This point is lost. Wireless connection options are completely missing in this variant, which is no longer quite up to date, but is probably due to the small size of the hearing aid.

It aims to create broadband noises or sounds that gently and pleasantly stimulate all hearing ranges. The tinnitus fades into the background and is no longer perceived as disturbing.
Online services are becoming increasingly commonplace. There is often a remote maintenance service available for hearing aids as well. However, Unitron has not provided such a service for its B Insera 3 312 NW O yet. Therefore, one must go to the specialty store every time they want to have their hearing aid programmed differently. No extra points for that.
Had Unitron integrated motion sensors into this hearing aid, individual health tracking could even be possible. However, this is not the case here. These points are lost in the evaluation of the B Insera 3 312 NW O. The functionality of the B Insera 3 312 NW O is limited to normal hearing, which is perfectly fine.
