Unitron offers the DX Moxi 7 Fit, a sleek, small hearing aid that is worn behind the ear. It is a high-end hearing aid suitable for almost any hearing need. By the smart decision to place the speaker directly in the ear canal, it ensures that sound reaches the eardrum without loss.
Hearing comfort
The hearing comfort determines whether someone enjoys wearing their hearing aids or not. That’s why we first looked at how the hearing aid handles background noise. In this model, which Unitron presents to us, solid comfort programming by the hearing care professional is possible. Of course, noise suppression is integrated to mitigate tiring background noises. In the DX Moxi 7 Fit, the manufacturer has made an effort and included efficient noise reduction. The hearing comfort package also includes a wind noise suppression feature. It works very reliably; we definitely wouldn’t want to do without it anymore.
We are pleased to find good and efficient impulse sound damping here. It is certainly useful in everyday life, as it noticeably cushions slamming doors, clattering dishes, or similarly jarring noises. The microphones of the hearing aid can adopt various directional modes. They do this autonomously, adjusting to the acoustic conditions and creating a natural spatial experience. A high number of frequency bands aids in separating speech from noise. The DX Moxi 7 Fit, with its 16 bands, is definitely in the front area.
An exciting topic in hearing acoustics is the use of artificial intelligence, but this is not yet applied in this Unitron model.

There is a button on the hearing aid. This allows you to adjust the volume or activate additional hearing programs. It can be programmed according to customer preferences. Of course, using it is optional. We do like small remote controls, and for this model, we have found one. This way, you can discreetly make small adjustments to the volume or sound.
We are always pleased when a hearing aid surprises us with a great additional feature. For example, we would have liked to see voice control at this point. But this feature is currently not available in the DX Moxi 7 Fit. Tap Control would also have been an interesting feature. This allows you to change the function with a quick tap on the ear. But that is not available here in the DX Moxi 7 Fit yet.
A manual operation includes an app. This allows you to access the hearing aid discreetly. In addition to volume control, you can also adjust hearing programs and a few other functions. One of the best features of the hearing aid is the direct streaming function. This turns the hearing aid into a True Wireless earphone, receiving phone calls and other sounds directly in the ear. The prerequisite is a suitable smartphone that includes 2.4 GHz technology. The biggest advantage is that you can hear phone calls not just in one ear, but in both. Additionally, the sound can be tailored to personal needs.

It gradually increases the volume of the hearing aid in tiny increments until our target amplification is eventually reached. We can gradually and comfortably get used to the new listening experiences.
The DX Moxi 7 Fit is not rechargeable. It continues to receive its power from disposable batteries size 312, which need to be replaced every few days.
With an IP 68 certification, the hearing aid can withstand various adverse influences. Dust cannot penetrate, it can withstand prolonged immersion in water, and it is also protected against touches.
