Unitron offers a discreet hearing aid with the T Moxi 600 Fit, which is worn behind the ear. It is a hearing aid from the basic price segment and is suitable for mild, moderate, and even strong hearing needs. By directly aligning the speaker with the ear canal, it ensures that sound reaches the eardrum without loss.
Hearing comfort
The hearing comfort determines whether someone likes to wear their hearing aids or not. Therefore, we first looked at how the hearing aids handle background noise. In this model presented by Unitron, we found only a few options for comfort adjustment. Of course, noise suppression is integrated to reduce stressful background sounds. In the T Moxi 600 Fit, we find a rather below-average noise suppression. Noise-sensitive individuals will have to make some compromises regarding hearing comfort. We rate the wind management here as mediocre, but it works.
In our test, we also discovered impulse sound control. Short, cracking noises are muted with this feature. It works somewhat well here, but we are not at the top level. We are currently quite far from a 3D sound experience. Only the selectable forward focus provides a little hearing support in social settings. With 10 frequency bands, we are not entirely satisfied with the Fit, but it should be sufficient for uncomplicated hearing curves. The sound may not be entirely natural as a result.
Other hearing aids already use artificial intelligence in their signal processing, but this strategy is not yet present in the T Moxi 600 Fit.

Operation & connectivity
Every person has their own unique hearing needs. It is advantageous if one can customize their hearing aids beyond the automatic functions. In our test, we discovered the following access options: There is usually a button on the hearing aid, and we found one on the T Moxi 600 as well. It can be configured as a volume control or program selection button and can also be deactivated if desired. A remote control is available for the T Moxi 600 Fit. It is quite practical, fits in a pocket, and offers a volume control option as well as different hearing programs.
Some hearing aids can already be controlled by voice, but this one from Unitron unfortunately cannot as of yet. It would be handy when fingers are not as mobile or if one simply likes smart gadgets. Another option for controlling the hearing aids is a tap control. This involves simply tapping the ear with fingers, which in turn triggers a specific function. However, this option is not available on this Unitron device.
Quickly turning up the volume via the app is unfortunately not possible with the T Moxi 600 Fit. There is no app available for that. However, this is irrelevant if you are not a smartphone user anyway. The hearing aid can also be used as a headset and requires a small additional device for that. If you clip it on your collar, the entire multimedia world is open to you. Smartphone, tablet, laptop – all Bluetooth-enabled devices can be wirelessly connected to the hearing aid.

How does one cope with the hearing aid in everyday life? This is the next aspect we need to assess. Because only if such a device works simply and uncomplicated can one become accustomed to it. Unfortunately, the easy hearing experience with the T Moxi 600 Fit is not very good. The situational automation is quite stripped down, offering little support when it gets loud around us. This can be compensated by using the manual adjustment options. However, this hardly scores points in terms of simplicity. We grant a big plus point for the automatic acclimatization assistant. It raises the starting volume in very small increments until my hearing goal is reached. This greatly facilitates the adaptation to the new sound.
The T Moxi 600 Fit is not equipped with a rechargeable battery; it is therefore not rechargeable. It is powered by a hearing aid battery size 312. It needs to be replaced every few days.
We take a look at the robustness of the case and discover the protection class IP 68 in the specifications. This means that dust cannot penetrate at all, and even water only becomes dangerous after extended submersion. Protection against contact is also included.

An online contact option with the audiologist through the app would be very useful. This is already quite common today and helps with small adjustment issues. Unfortunately, Unitron opts out of this and does not earn any extra points for it.
Many hearing aids today still come with a few health functions. However, since the T Moxi 600 Fit does not have any special sensors for that, we cannot present any particular features here. The device from Unitron focuses on essential hearing functions and does not offer extras like voice assistants or translation functions. While that would have been fun, it is not necessary for a good listening experience.
