We missed an app for the T Insera 600 10 W during the test. If controlling via smartphone is important to you, you should look for another model. Since the hearing aid has a wireless module, it can also be used as a headset or headphones. A small additional device, known as a streamer, is required for this. It forms the interface between the hearing aids and a Bluetooth-enabled audio device. Smartphone, laptop, navigation system – everything can be quickly and easily connected.

We have to rely on the manual options relatively often and adjust our hearing aid to the environments ourselves. Some people struggle with the adjustment, but this hearing aid makes it easy for us to cope with the new volume. There is a familiarization manager that gradually leads us to the necessary target amplification. The period can last a few weeks or even several months, and it is individually adjustable. The individual steps are so small that you don't even notice a volume increase taking place.

T Insera 600 10 W relies on battery power instead of rechargeable batteries. Advantage: Very long runtime with a single battery. You have to deal with the power supply only very rarely, unlike battery solutions. Disadvantage: Waste is generated in the form of used batteries. This hearing aid uses a hearing aid battery size 10.

The data sheet certifies the Unitron device with an IP protection class rating of 68. This makes it one of the most robust hearing aids on the market. Dust has no chance, and water does not penetrate the housing, as long as it is not submerged deeper than 1.5 meters. Nevertheless, be cautious. Shampoo, for example, alters the surface tension of water. You should also avoid saltwater. However, in everyday life, you can behave completely carefree.

Soft, gentle sounds are tailored to your hearing and engage all areas of the inner ear. This is nothing more than a distraction, and it works surprisingly well. The tinnitus fades into the general noise and no longer bothers you. This is a straightforward but effective tool and earns extra points from us. In mobile times like these, a remote maintenance service via an app would be very helpful. This would allow you to comfortably create a new hearing aid programming from home. Unfortunately, this service is not available for the T Insera 600 10 W. Therefore, for any changes, you still have to visit the specialist retailer. A new trend in the hearing aid industry is integrated sensors that can track personal health data, for example. However, the T Insera 600 10 W does not offer this feature. The device from Unitron focuses on essential hearing functions and does not provide extras like voice assistants or translation functions. While that could have been fun, it is not necessary for a good listening experience.
