However, focusing on a specific speaker works quite well thanks to the integrated directional microphones. With 12 frequency bands, you can achieve a pretty good sound. A passionate musician might not be completely satisfied with this, but for normal hearing and sound needs, this number is more than sufficient.
Artificial intelligence has also been adopted in hearing aids, such as in the V Moxi 1 RT. This provides a lot more data to identify speech and noise. Based on our experience, the sound of hearing aids with AI is perceived as particularly precise and realistic.

Every person has their own unique hearing needs. It is advantageous to be able to customize hearing aids beyond the automatic functions. In our test, we discovered the following access options: First, we found a button directly on the hearing aid. This is very useful, as it is the simplest and quickest way to make adjustments. The volume can be adjusted through this, and different hearing programs can also be activated. If one prefers not to adjust anything directly at the ear, the button can also be deactivated. A remote control is available for the V Moxi 1 RT. It is quite practical, fits in your pocket, and offers a volume control option as well as various hearing programs.
The modern form of operation by voice command is not yet available in the V Moxi 1 RT. This Unitron model does not have the capability to control the hearing aids with a simple touch, as it would have required specific sensors in the housing.
The app is definitely very useful. Anyone who has a smartphone should download it. Even though the app is not one of our favorites, it is still a useful addition to the V Moxi 1 RT. We really enjoyed the direct, wireless streaming. This means that calls from the smartphone are transferred to the hearing aids without any additional accessories. This turns the hearing aid into the perfect hands-free system or wireless headphones. Listening to music or watching and hearing videos is incredibly comfortable.

We would have liked the V Moxi 1 RT to have an automatic program that adapts to the environment by itself. However, this feature is lacking, so unfortunately, we have to deduct points here. A big plus point is awarded for the automatic acclimatization assistant. It gradually raises the starting volume in very small steps until my hearing goal is reached. This greatly facilitates the adjustment to the new sound.
A significant relief in everyday life is the integrated battery. With this, my V Moxi 1 RT always has enough energy for the entire day, and I no longer have to worry that the batteries will suddenly run out in the middle of an event. Even for those with limited dexterity, a battery system is very helpful because it eliminates the need to insert small button cells.
With IP 68 certification, the hearing aid can withstand all sorts of adverse influences. Dust cannot penetrate, it can also withstand prolonged submersion in water, and it is protected against contact as well.

Lastly, we are interested in whether there are any additional goodies: Are you among those suffering from tinnitus? Then you could use the optional tinnitus program in the V Moxi 1 RT. Soft, gentle sounds are tailored to your hearing and engage all areas of the inner ear. It’s nothing more than a distraction maneuver, and it works surprisingly well. The tinnitus fades into the general noise and is no longer bothersome. This is a simple but effective tool and earns extra points from us.
A real added value is the remote maintenance service. To change the hearing aid settings, there is no longer a need to visit the specialist store; instead, you can directly contact the audiologist through the app. You can then load the new data package into the hearing aids via a cloud service. This is exactly what we expect from a modern hearing aid.
Many hearing aids today still come with some health functions. However, since the V Moxi 1 RT does not have special sensors for this, we cannot present any specifics here. Other hearing aids already offer some extended options such as a fall alert or reminder functions. We do not find these here, and that's not too dramatic because the normal hearing functions are still the most important.
