Those who prefer not to touch their ear to adjust the volume will be pleased with the optional remote control. This allows for convenient and discreet adjustments to the hearing aid.
Voice control of devices is widespread in other areas, and now it is also available for hearing aids. The V Moxi 7 R can adjust the volume or switch to another hearing program with a simple voice command. We are particularly excited about the Tap control. A quick tap on the ear with the fingers switches the hearing aid to a different mode. In our opinion, Unitron is a step ahead of others with this model. The Tap control is not only contemporary but also incredibly convenient.
As is customary today, we also find a smartphone app for the V Moxi 7 R. This app contains solid basic functions and adds a few extras on top. We had great fun with direct, wireless streaming. This means that calls from the smartphone can be transmitted to the hearing aids without any additional accessories. This turns the hearing aid into the perfect hands-free device or wireless headphones. Listening to music or watching and hearing videos is incredibly comfortable as well.

Some people find it difficult to get used to, but this hearing aid makes it easy for us to cope with the new volume. There is an acclimatization manager that gradually leads us to the required target amplification. The period can last from a few weeks to several months, and this is individually adjustable. The individual steps are so small that one does not even notice that there was an increase in volume.
Easy handling in everyday life definitely includes the power supply. The V Moxi 7 R has a built-in battery and is rechargeable. Since one charge lasts for the whole day, we don't have to worry about the battery dying in the middle of a conversation.
The hearing aid has been classified in IP protection class 68. This guarantees comprehensive protection against dust ingress. Water also cannot easily damage the hearing aid. Thus, it is well-equipped for outdoor activities where it can get wet and dirty. However, do not necessarily bathe or swim with the hearing aids. Bath additives or the salt content in seawater can change the composition and may ultimately cause damage.

Über ein paar Extra-Funktionen freut sich jeder, also schauen wir mal, ob wir hier fündig werden: Ein spezielles Tinnitusprogramm ist im V Moxi 7 R auf Wunsch programmierbar. Damit können stimulierende, angenehme Geräusche generiert werden, die vom Tinnitus ablenken, wenn er mal wieder besonders stark ist. Das finden wir sehr nützlich und vergeben gerne Extrapunkte.
Einen echten Mehrwert bietet der Fernwartungsdienst. Für eine Veränderung der Hörgeräteeinstellung muss man nicht mehr zwingend ins Fachgeschäft gehen, sondern kann direkt über die App Kontakt zum Akustiker aufnehmen. Über einen Cloud-Dienst kann man dann das neue Datenpaket in die Hörgeräte laden. Genau so etwas erwarten wir von einem zeitgemäßen Hörgerät.
Hätte Unitron Bewegungssensoren in dieses Hörgerät integriert, dann könnte sogar ein individuelles Gesundheits-Tracking erfolgen. Das ist hier aber nicht der Fall. Diese Punkte gehen dem V Moxi 7 R in der Wertung verloren. Der Funktionsumfang im V Moxi 7 R beschränkt sich auf das normale Hören, was auch völlig in Ordnung ist. Zusatzfunktionen wie Sturzalarm oder Siri-Verknüpfungen haben schon einen ordentlichen Mehrwert, sind aber für einen guten Hörausgleich nicht relevant.
