It is best to try it out in demo mode beforehand. Problems with making phone calls on a smartphone are a thing of the past with this device. Phone calls, music, and other sounds are transmitted completely wirelessly into the hearing aids. Headphones become unnecessary. We tested the wireless transmission during longer phone calls as well as for listening to music while exercising. Everything worked smoothly and effortlessly. Only a compatible smartphone with 2.4 GHz wireless technology is required.

No matter how great the hearing aid sounds, nothing is more unpleasant than a product that constantly presents us with hurdles in everyday life. That’s why simplicity and safety are very important topics in our hearing aid tests: With top-class situation recognition, the V Stride 9 P R has completely convinced us. The hearing aid seamlessly adapts to the acoustic environment and almost never requires our intervention. Hearing feels completely normal. We give a big plus point for the automatic acclimatization assistant. It increases the starting volume in very small increments until my hearing goal is reached. This significantly facilitates the adjustment to the new sound.
The V Stride 9 P R features a rechargeable battery. We find this very good because rechargeable hearing aids are absolutely contemporary. You don’t have to have batteries lying around everywhere, and you don’t have to change the battery in the middle of a concert. The hearing aid simply plugs into the charging station overnight and has enough energy for the following day.
The hearing aid has been rated with an IP protection class of 68. This guarantees comprehensive protection against dust ingress. Water also cannot easily damage the hearing aid. This makes it well-equipped for outdoor activities where it can get wet and dirty. However, you should definitely avoid bathing or swimming with the hearing aids. Bath additives or the salt content in seawater can alter the composition and may ultimately cause damage.

We all like goodies, so let's take a look at the extras that may be hidden in the hearing aid. Worth mentioning is the tinnitus program. It will benefit all those who are plagued by annoying ear noises. Pleasant, soft sounds are adjusted to gently surround the tinnitus. In the end, the tinnitus fades into the background noise and is no longer disruptive.
The ability to adjust settings remotely is something we really like. It is especially helpful when you only want to make a minor change to the hearing aid settings but don’t want to drive to the hearing care professional. Instead, you make contact through the app, and the hearing expert sends back a customized data package in the same way.
There are no sensors in this V Stride 9 variant, which means that the popular health tracking cannot be offered. For example, this would count the steps throughout the day. As mentioned, this hearing aid does not have that function on board. It would have been nice to have a few lifestyle features, but those are not available in the V Stride 9 P R. Other hearing aids can score with features like voice translators or fall alarms, but here it remains within the usual range of functions.
