We are very satisfied with that. Especially with sharp or steeply sloping hearing curves, such a hearing aid can be very useful. Spatial hearing is of great importance for orientation in space and for recognizing directions and distances. With this hearing aid from Unitron, one can feel completely secure. It mimics the functioning of natural hearing and makes information from all directions accessible.
An exciting topic in hearing acoustics is the use of artificial intelligence, but this is not yet applied in this Unitron model.

There is usually a button on the hearing aid, and we found that on the B Stride 9 as well. It can be configured as a volume control or program selection button and can also be disabled if desired. Those who prefer not to touch their ear to turn up the volume will appreciate the optional remote control. This allows for convenient and discreet adjustments to the hearing aid.
We really enjoyed the voice control during the test of the B Stride 9 P R. Most of us are already used to talking to our watch or car anyway. So, this feature fits perfectly into a high-tech product worn on the ear. We are particularly excited about the tap control. A quick tap on the ear with your fingers instantly switches the hearing aid to another mode. In our opinion, Unitron is quite a bit ahead of others with this model. The tap control is not only contemporary, but also super convenient.
It is very comfortable to adjust the hearing aids via the app. There is also a free app for the B Stride 9 P R. We believe the range of functions is average, but usually sufficient. It's best to try it out in demo mode beforehand. For our digital everyday life, a streaming option wouldn't be bad. The device in question fulfills our wish and comes with a 2.4 GHz wireless module. This allows phone calls and sounds to be sent directly from the smartphone to the hearing aids.

Simplicity & security
Another point on our checklist is handling. Does everything work easily and reliably? What does the hearing aid offer to ensure safe use in daily life? The automatic situation program of the B Stride 9 P R includes almost everything one might experience in everyday life. It provides me with the perfect setting at all times, without me having to do anything actively. Especially in varied situations, this is extremely convenient and makes me almost forget the hearing aid is on my ear. We give a big plus point for the automatic acclimatization assistant. It gradually increases the starting volume in very small steps until my hearing goal is reached. This greatly eases the adjustment to the new sound.
In our opinion, a very useful development in recent years is the integrated battery. We are used to recharging electronic devices in our daily lives. And the B Stride 9 P R is rechargeable, so we can forego the annoying battery changes.
We had a carefree everyday life during our test thanks to the IP-68 certification. This means that the hearing aid is particularly well protected against dust and water. We walked through the rain and then took out the hearing aids with wet hands - no problem at all. However, the water resistance really only applies to fresh, natural water and not to foamy bathwater or seawater.

Everyone enjoys a few extra features, so let's see if we can find some here: We really liked the optional tinnitus program. There are quite a few people who are occasionally or frequently plagued by a ringing or buzzing in their ears. The tinnitus program in the B Stride 9 P R is essentially just a sound generator. It aims to produce broadband noises or sounds that gently and pleasantly stimulate all hearing areas. The tinnitus gets drowned out and is no longer perceived as disturbing.
Unitron keeps up with the times and offers a forward-looking feature with the remote adjustment service. Busy people with little time can contact their audiologist online and have their hearing aids reprogrammed. Hearing aid users who have a longer journey to the specialist store also benefit from this special service.
Some hearing aids can track certain health data. However, this requires specific sensors in the hearing aid, which we unfortunately do not have in the B Stride 9 P R. The device from Unitron focuses on essential hearing functions and does not offer extras like voice assistants or translation features. While that would have been fun, it is not necessary for a good hearing experience.
