The Moment 330 BTE 312 from Widex is a conventional behind-the-ear hearing aid. The customer receives a delicate, small hearing aid of a premium quality level, allowing them to compensate for mild, moderate, and even severe hearing needs.
Hearing comfort
The comfort features determine how pleasant everyday listening is perceived. In this hearing aid, we found limited options for comfort enhancement. A classic noise suppression is supposed to reduce annoying background noise to a bearable level. Currently, the Moment 330 BTE 312 operates the noise suppression rather averagely, but it is slightly modifiable. We painfully missed wind noise suppression. Those who are often outdoors might find the distinctly audible wind noises quite bothersome.
We are pleased to find a good and efficient impulse noise suppression here. It is definitely useful in everyday life, as it noticeably softens the sounds of doors slamming, dishes clattering, or similarly clattering noises. Spatial hearing is reliably supported by multifunctional microphones and is definitely practical. We always look closely at the number of equalizer bands. They are important for adjusting the sound of a hearing aid as accurately as possible to the hearing curve. Additionally, speech noise management also occurs within these bands. The Moment 330 BTE 312 has 12 of them. That's acceptable.
In this version, Widex does not yet employ artificial intelligence.

“Can I adjust something on my hearing aid myself?” “Is there maybe an app?” These and similar questions are becoming increasingly important when selecting a hearing aid, which is why we will take a look at the control and connection options. A very quick way to adjust the volume is the small button on the device. It is easy to feel, and you can increase or decrease the volume in several steps. Additional programs for special listening situations can also be activated with it. If you prefer to do without the button, you can simply have it deactivated. The small remote control, which is available as an option, is very practical. For us, it is one of the most convenient ways to adjust the hearing aid volume or switch to another listening program. No one notices it; reaching for the ear is unnecessary.
We are always pleased when a hearing aid surprises us with a great additional feature. For example, we would have liked to see voice control at this point. But this is not available at the moment 330 BTE 312. If there are sensors in the hearing aid, a tap control could be conceivable, which would trigger a specific function by tapping the ear with your fingers. However, this option is currently not available in the moment 330 BTE 312.
A suitable app is also provided to us. In everyday life, the app should suffice, but it doesn’t offer much more than a volume function and the ability to access different listening programs. Since the hearing aid has a radio module, it can also be used as a headset or headphones. A small additional device, a so-called streamer, is required for this. It forms the interface between the hearing aids and a Bluetooth-capable audio device. Smartphone, laptop, navigation device - everything can be connected quickly and easily.
