Widex offers the Moment 330 ITE 312 XP, a small hearing aid that is worn in the ear. It is a premium-priced hearing aid suitable for both mild and more severe hearing needs. Its comfortable and acoustically advantageous position in the ear canal ensures that sound reaches the eardrum without losses.
Hearing comfort
First, we looked at the comfort features. The better these are, the easier and more pleasant the listening experience becomes. A solid comfort programming is possible with this hearing aid through the audiologist. The traditional noise suppression ensures that uniform, unimportant sounds are somewhat reduced. The Moment 330 ITE 312 XP has average noise suppression, but it is somewhat modifiable. Wind noise is not an issue with this hearing aid, as the microphones are hidden deep enough in the ear canal that the wind cannot reach them. Therefore, there is no need for an electronic wind manager here.
Quickly occurring, clattering sounds are noticeably and sufficiently dampened, which we find pleasant. Directional hearing often needs a little support for hearing aid users. The Moment 330 ITE 312 XP provides this support confidently and enables good spatial orientation. The Moment 330 ITE 312 XP has 12 adjustable frequency bands and is thereby in the middle range. A good acoustician can certainly extract a reasonable sound from it.
An exciting topic in audiology is the use of artificial intelligence, but this is not yet applied in this Widex model.

Almost everyone of us owns a smartphone, so the question arises whether it can also be connected to the new hearing aid. Let’s take a look at how the Moment 330 ITE 312 XP stands in terms of connectivity and usability. Unfortunately, we couldn't find a button, which is a pity. Let’s continue exploring. Those who don't like to touch their ears to adjust the volume will appreciate the optional remote control. This allows for comfortable and discreet adjustments to the hearing aid.
We are always pleased when a hearing aid surprises us with a great additional function. For example, we would have liked to see voice control at this point. However, this is currently not available in the Moment 330 ITE 312 XP. Some hearing aids can also be controlled with a simple tap, without needing to press a button. This feature has not yet been implemented here.
A suitable app will also be provided. In everyday life, the app should be sufficient, but it doesn’t offer much more than a volume function and the ability to switch between different hearing programs. Smartphones or tablets can be easily connected to a small streaming device that wirelessly transmits sound to the hearing aid.

It gradually adjusts the amplification in imperceptible steps until my hearing loss is completely compensated. I don't have to do anything other than regularly wear my hearing aids.
The Moment 330 ITE 312 XP is not rechargeable. It continues to get its energy from disposable batteries of size 312, which need to be replaced every few days.
The Moment 330 is almost dust and water resistant and, with its IP 68 classification, is certainly well protected against external influences.
