In testing the Encanta 300 IIC, the manufacturer provides customers with comprehensive noise management. Let's take a look at the individual features:
Of course, this Bernafon device has noise suppression, as it has now become standard. Noise suppression means that uniform and rather monotonous sounds (e.g., air conditioning, vacuum cleaner ...) are dampened. Here, you can be quite satisfied with the level of noise suppression. It can be adjusted in stages and ensures that the sounds do not dominate as much.
We are pleased to find good and efficient impulse sound damping here. This is definitely useful in everyday life, as it noticeably softens door slams, dish clatter, or similarly clattering noises. A wind manager is not necessary in this model. It is hidden in the ear canal and is naturally protected from the wind by the outer ear. Very important for good speech-noise distinction is the number of frequency bands. With 20, this hearing aid ranks among the best and offers excellent adjustment options. Spatial hearing with the Encanta 300 IIC happens in a completely natural way. Due to its special placement deep in the ear canal, the function of the outer ear is preserved, and there are no compromises in directional hearing.
Interestingly, artificial intelligence also plays a role in signal processing here. The sound is not only analyzed based on typical frequency patterns. Particularly intense, noisy situations are perceived as more realistic and pleasant.

Would you like to be able to adjust your hearing aids yourself? We believe it can be quite useful to have some form of control. Let's take a look at how it is with the Encanta 300 IIC. Unfortunately, this hearing aid lacks a direct control option. This is likely due to its small form factor. However, this doesn't have to be a disadvantage, as often the automatic functions are sufficient. We would have liked a remote control, but Bernafon does not offer one for this model. So, no points here.
Voice commands are a fairly new way to operate hearing aids. However, this model does not have this feature yet. That's not a big deal - the main thing is that one can hear well. Another option for controlling hearing aids is tapping control. For this, you simply tap your fingers on your ear, which in turn triggers a specific function. But this is not available in this Bernafon device.
In the app store, we searched in vain for an app for further adjustments, which we had hoped for differently. Unfortunately, we have to do without a streaming function here and continue to hold the smartphone to our ear in the usual way.

It provides me with the perfect setting at all times without me having to actively do anything. Especially during varied phases, this is extremely convenient and allows me to almost forget that I'm wearing the hearing aid. The adjustment to the new hearing experience is supported by this device with a fully automatic acclimatization manager. It adjusts the amplification in barely noticeable steps until my hearing loss is completely compensated. All I have to do is wear my hearing aids regularly.
Unfortunately, the Encanta 300 IIC is not equipped with a rechargeable battery, so it requires regular size 10 batteries for operation.
The datasheet certifies the Bernafon device with an IP protection class rating of 68. This makes it one of the most resilient hearing aids on the market. Dust has no chance, and water does not penetrate the housing as long as it does not submerge deeper than 1.5 meters. However, be cautious. Shampoo, for example, changes the surface tension of water. You should also avoid saltwater. In everyday life, however, you can behave carefree.

There are no sensors in this Encanta 300 variant, so popular health tracking cannot be offered. For example, steps are counted throughout the day. As mentioned, this hearing aid does not have this function. This Bernafon hearing aid does not have any additional lifestyle options. Elsewhere, there are voice assistants or reminder functions, but these are not necessary for good hearing. It would have just made the product a little cooler.
