The adjustable microphones help to recognize specific directions and can also assist in noise cancellation, but the spatial sound was not very natural. The Nexia 5 battery ITE does not have many adjustable equalizer bands, but the 12 should be sufficient for a good listening result.

For some time now, there has been a trend to adjust hearing aids louder or quieter using voice commands. The idea is really good, but ReSound is not quite there with this device yet. Don't worry about it; this feature would be nice, but it's not essential. If there are sensors in the hearing aid, a tap control could be feasible, which would trigger a specific function by tapping your fingers on the ear. However, this option is not available in the Nexia 5 rechargeable ITE.
Adjusting loudness or special functions via an app is already widespread today, and the Nexia 5 rechargeable ITE also follows this path and provides us with an app. This app offers much more than just hearing aid functions and gives us a glimpse of what hearing aids could be used for in the future - besides good hearing. It gradually increases the volume of the hearing device in tiny steps until our target amplification is eventually reached. We can relax and gradually get used to the new hearing impressions.
Easy handling in everyday life definitely includes power supply. The Nexia 5 Battery ITE has a built-in battery and is rechargeable. Since a single charge is sufficient for the entire day, we do not have to worry about the battery dying in the middle of a conversation.
We experienced a carefree everyday life in our test due to the IP-68 certification. This indicates that the hearing aid is particularly well protected against dust and water. We marched through the rain and then took out the hearing aids with wet hands - no problem at all.
