In the B Insera 7 10 NW O, this damping occurs in several stages, which definitely adds some plus points. The B Insera 7 10 NW O impresses us with its natural, spatial hearing. The ear cup retains its function, making the 3D sensation feel just like not wearing a hearing aid at all. A brilliant listening experience is based, among other things, on the number of frequency bands. The more bands there are and the narrower the individual frequency channels are, the better the hearing aid can be adjusted to individual preferences. Here we have 20 bands. This allows for not only a great sound impression but also very precise speech and noise suppression.
An exciting topic in hearing acoustics is the use of artificial intelligence, but this is not yet applied in this Unitron model.
With this device, we have to forgo a few technical refinements due to miniaturization. However, we consider this no great loss. The natural sound capture deep in the ear canal allows our outer ear to fulfill its normal function. This natural pre-processing of sound combined with the technology of the hearing aid comes quite close to normal hearing.

In our test, we found out what options we have here. Usually, there is a button on the hearing aid, and we found one on the B Insera 7 as well. It can be configured as a volume control or program selection button and can also be disabled if desired. A discreet way to modify the hearing aid is the remote control. It fits in any pocket. If the person you are speaking to is too quiet again, just one or two clicks are enough to adjust the volume. Additional hearing programs for listening to music or for driving can also be activated with the remote control.
The modern method of operation via voice command is not yet found in the B Insera 7 10 NW O. This Unitron model does not feature control of the hearing aids with a simple tap of the finger, as it would have required specific sensors in the housing.
If you are looking for an app, unfortunately, you will not find one here. The B Insera 7 10 NW O has to manage without smart control functions. That point is a miss. Wireless connectivity options are completely absent in this variant. That is not very up-to-date, but it is probably due to the small size of the hearing aid.
Expert tip: Inquire about universal Bluetooth receivers. This allows you to connect these hearing aids to your smartphone or other devices that operate with Bluetooth 5.0. The receiver is discreetly worn around the neck and transmits incoming Bluetooth signals via induction to the telephone coil of the hearing aids. You no longer have to forgo hands-free calling and streaming audio signals.

An online contact with the hearing care professional via the app would be very useful. This is quite common today and helps with minor adjustment problems. Unfortunately, Unitron skips this and doesn't earn any extra points for it.

It would have also been nice to have a few lifestyle features, but those are not available in the B Insera 7 10 NW O. Other hearing aids can score with speech translators or fall alarms, but here we stick to the usual range of functions.
